It will keep most dogs in but if your dog likes to climb big rocks up the cliff then you will need a leash. Look up tide times before you plan a trip here, beach disappears during high tide and can be pretty dangerous. Low tide is much friendlier. See Details

Los Gatos Creek County Park The dog park offers separate fenced off-leash areas for large and small dogs. Water for dogs, benches for people, and pooper scoopers are at the park. The dog park is located in Los Gatos Creek Park. If you park at the Dell Avenue parking area to access the park there is an $8 parking fee. Dogs are also allowed on North Escape, a 2.5-mile one-way (5-mile round trip) paved road that is mostly gated off to cars and alongside old-growth redwoods, a creek, and lush undergrowth. Dogs are not permitted on any of the trails or fire roads excluding the campground connector trail from Sempervirens and Blooms Creek campgrounds to park headquarters.
