The Sculpture Park is open from sunrise to midnight, and an audio tour is available online or via phone at (515) 657-8264. Picnicking is allowed in the park, and humans should be sure to keep food and drink away from the works of art and dispose of waste in the trash cans on the perimeter of the Park. The 167-acre Park features a 1.9-mile lit trail, which encircles the lake. Gray's Lake encourages guests to "venture off of the trail" and fish, canoe or sail. Dogs are not allowed on the designated swimming beach. Pets must be cleaned-up after during their visit. Big Creek State Park Dogs are welcome at Big Creek State Park, where a diversion dam has formed an 866-acre reservoir. In addition to the lake itself, the park also includes shelters, picnic areas, playground, and a multi-purpose sports field. The two and a half miles of trails that weave through the black walnut trees, the largest surviving natural stand of these trees in the country, are a great attraction for dogs and their owners.
