Honeymoon Island State Park Dog Beach

Freedom to roam, white sandy beachfront, gentle lapping waves and crystalline water means happy pooches and owners alike. In addition to having their own beach on the southern tip of the island, dogs are also allowed on the nature trail. Pets must be on a 6-foot handheld leash at all times while in these areas.

Happy Tails Dog Park

Pets are allowed off-leash at Happy Tails, which includes a separate area for small dogs, drinking fountains, trees, and agility equipment.

Pinellas Trail

Dunedin Florida is one of the most dog friendly towns you will ever want to visit with your furry friends. As you stroll through the downtown area, many cafes and bars have water bowls for Fido sitting on the patios. There is a huge mural painted on several store fronts depicting dogs that have belonged to folks living or vacationing in Dunedin. You can walk your dog along the Pinellas trail for miles and miles. There is a dog friendly beach on Honeymoon Island too. Even though the dogs on that beach have to be leashed, it is still a fun place to take them. The 555+ mobile home park where I have a winter home is one of the best and most dog friendly parks in the area. It is called Grand Bay Mobile Home Park. I walk out my back door and I am on the walking trail within minutes. The little town of Palm Harbor is also very dog friendly.

Picnic Island Beach Dog Park

Dogs are welcome to play off-leash at the beach here. Just be careful as the area is not fully fenced.
