Royal Gorge Bridge and Park Dogs are welcome to walk with their humans across North America's highest suspension bridge at Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome in the park, but are not permitted on any rides or inside the buildings. Colorado Jeep Tours Located in Canon City just 15 minutes from the Royal Gorge, one hour from Colorado Springs, and 2 hours from Denver, Colorado Jeep Tours are dog-friendly. Dogs are welcome with advance reservations on tours to Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, Red Canyon Park, and the Gold Belt Scenic Byway. Dogs that can be carried and held during the tour ride for free. Dogs that are larger than lap size (generally over 20 lbs) will be required to travel on the floor of the vehicle and the owner will be charged the child rate for the dog for that tour.
