Pikes Peak Highway

Pikes Peak Highway is pet friendly! There's no better place to bring a dog or puppy than to Pikes Peak, where there are trails, streams and lots of room to frolic in and critters to sniff out! It is strongly recommended that pets remain on a leash so as to avoid getting lost. However, leashes are not mandatory. It's not very often that a dog would have this kind of opportunity for so many new sniffs, sights and sounds.

Waldo Canyon Loop Trail

Waldo Canyon Loop Trail is a 7.2 mile hike in Pike National Forest that will take about 6 hours to complete with Fido. Along the canyon you will see a pink-colored rock known as Pikes Peak granite that is about 1 billions years old. After about 1 mile you will reach the canyon and descend into its meadow where Fido can cool off in the creek.

Bear Creek Dog Park

Bear Creek Dog Park is a fenced park with a play area for dogs under 25 lbs and a large play area for dogs of all sizes. Features include pathways, a creek, a water station, restrooms, and plenty of waste disposal areas.

Seven Falls

Bring Fido to bask in the majesty of Seven Falls, a magnificent series of waterfalls located in a 1,400-foot-wall box canyon, and then explore everything else the new Seven Falls has to offer. From delectable new dining options—including the exquisite new 1859—gift shops, walking and hiking trails, the optional Broadmoor Soaring Adventure—a thrilling exploration above Seven Falls, following rope bridges, a via ferrata and culminating in a rappel—and so much more to come. Next to the Falls, a 224-step stairway leads to a system of trails that will take you onto Inspiration Point with a breath-taking view of Colorado Springs and the great plains beyond. Wildlife is everywhere, including hummingbirds, rainbow trout and the rare, waterfall nesting- American Dipper. Blasted 14 stories straight up through solid granite, an in-mountain elevator safely transports visitors to the “Eagles Nest” platform, where the most spectacular view of Seven Falls is experienced. Seven Falls is located just ten minutes from downtown Colorado Springs via Cheyenne Blvd.
