Ventnor City Beach Ventnor City Beach is dog friendly on a seasonal basis with the purchase of a Beach Badge. Your leashed companion can join you on the beach from May 15th to September 30th between 7pm and 9pm, but only on areas washed by the tide line. From October 1st until May 15th, Fido has all-day access in areas washed by the tide line, but must also remain leashed. The City of Ventnor requires Beach Badges from Memorial Day through Labor Day for visitors over the age of 12. The centerpiece of this recreation area is the 157-foot-high lighthouse that still aids in navigation to this day. During the summer months, pets are only permitted in the grassy areas located in front of the lighthouse and in front of the museum and office. The beach side bicycle path runs north, continuing on the world-famous Wildwoods Boardwalk at Cresse Avenue via the bike ramp connector. The Boardwalk stretches 2.5 miles north to a connecting ramp between 15th and 16th Avenues in North Wildwood.
