The Sandy River Delta Park trail system consists of a thousand acres of off leash trails that lead to the Sandy River where your dog can wade or swim. Walk or hike for hours. It can be muddy at times due to Portland's frequent rain. Take I-84 to exit 18, follow the road and cut back under 84, stay straight instead of getting on the on ramp and you will be in doggy heaven! Dogs must remain leashed on Confluence Trail.

A dog rinse off area is located on the back side of the restroom located on the west side of the park closest to NE 164th Avenue (Note: Dogs must be leashed at the rinse off area).

If you have a harder time with elevation climbs, its recommended to start on the Multnomah side where the trail has more switch backs and is paved. The trail is rated as moderately difficult.
