Overmountain Vineyards and Winery Tasting Room Leashed dogs are welcome inside this family-owned vineyard’s wine tasting room, which overlooks the Tryon foothills. You can purchase a sample tasting of their current-release wines, or buy them by the glass or bottle. They offer distinctive French-style whites and reds, which are all created primarily from 17 acres of their own estate-grown fruit. No outside alcohol is permitted and they don’t serve food, but you’re welcome to bring your own picnic to accompany the wine. They have bar stools and a few small tables inside, as well as a variety of covered/uncovered seating outside, such as a porch, two patios, a small pavilion, and grassy areas with seats. Overmountain Victory Historic Trail on Overmountain Vineyards Bring Fido for a stroll through Overmountain Vineyards' 2-mile protected segment of the Overmountain Victory National Trail. There is a certified section of the trail available to walk on the grounds of the vineyard. The historic trail is certified and maintained by the National Park Service and available to the public, and their leashed pets, for hiking year-round. The trail is for non-motorized use only.
