Other Dog Activities in Central & South America

Tired of watching Fido run laps in the dog park? We've got the scoop on lots of other dog friendly attractions in Central & South America too. You'll find information on all of the dog friendly wineries, boat rentals, botanical gardens, drive-ins, and other offbeat animal attractions in Central & South America here.

Pet Friendly Plaza del Congreso
Lively Plaza del Congreso is home to a tiny amusement park and kid's playground, but it's also very popular among dog walkers in town.
Pet Friendly Pasos y Pedales
Each Sunday morning, the two main avenues/boulevards in Zones 10 and 14 are closed to vehicles which allows families to freely take advantage of a 13 km. circuit by walking, biking, skating, etc. Pets of all sizes and shapes come with their owners to enjoy the day. Some wear scarves, t-shirts, funny outfits, and others come in their birthday suits. It is an absolute MUST for pets and their families in Guatemala.
Pet Friendly University of Concepcion Campus
While not an official dog park, the UdeC campus is a very popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and converts into an unofficial dog park on Sundays. Dogs are generally kept on a leash until you reach one of two fields (one past the duck pond and the other next to the main forum). People are generally very friendly and are looking to let their four-legged friends socialize as well.
