Loch Haven is a one-of-a-kind park in the city of Hoover featuring an off-leash fenced area for dogs and their owners. The dog park is divided into two separate areas; one side for dogs up to 35 lbs and the other for larger dogs. The Park features include a canine obstacle course, .4 mile walking track, and a covered picnic pavilion with a large recreation field.

Large fenced in dog area with bags/trash cans for clean up. Picnic areas available outside of dog play area. Directions: coming from Montgomery, take US 31 North towards Prattville. Once you pass county road 4 (on left) take your next right - Scenic Dr (there is a sign for the park just prior). Take another immediate right onto Cooter Pond Rd and follow for a few miles to the park. Once at the park take a left and then another left up the hill to the overlook. The dog park is at the far end of the overlook park.

Unleashed in Orange Beach Dog Park

Unleashed in Orange Beach Dog Park offers separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, training stations, water stations, and plenty of benches and shade for the humans.

Hoover Dog Park

Wonderful off leash park with some agility obstacles. Bark/dirt/grass park with a small and large dog park that is gated and provides poop bags for owners to be responsible. FREE. Parking at the gate. Nearby walking trail is 0.5 miles and a creek runs close enough for your pet to swim!

Huntsville Dog Spot

Dog Spot is located near downtown, under a freeway bridge. It is a well-functioning dog park with fenced areas for large and small dogs, water, and benches. Only two dogs per adult are allowed.

Beneful Alabaster Dream Dog Park

Alabaster is the second city in the nation to host a Beneful Dream Dog Park.  The $500,000 dog park opened on July 12, 2012.  DIY Network star Jason Cameron helped design the park. The dog park is carpeted with synthetic turf, features separate off-leash areas for small and large dogs, water splash pads, tunnels and hoops, a miniature fetch football field, a walking course and more.  There are benches and shade for dog owners.

Hannah Daye Ridling Bark Park

The Hannah Daye Ridling Bark Park opened May 2013 to positive reviews and many happy dog owners! The new park has two areas; one for small dogs and the other for large dogs. Both areas have gazebos, doggie dog washing stations, multiple benches and water fountains. The park has a " dog park ranger" on duty to make sure that all dogs that come through are up to date on shots (please make sure you have rabies tags or paper work on hand) and to answer any questions or concerns you may have concerning the park. Each side of the park also has walking trails, plenty of doggie waste stations and many more amenities not found in other areas!

Heritage Park, Cullman

Heritage Park opened in 1994 and is a recreational complex with five championship lighted softball fields, five professional soccer fields, an outdoor basketball court, a beach volleyball court, a multi-purpose athletic field, a water sprinkler play area, a 1 1/2 mile paved walking trail, a newly constructed dog park, and an 18 hole frisbee golf course. The southern entrance boasts a beautiful memorial garden and fountain while the rest of the 70 acre park is filled with benches and picnic pavilions of all sizes.

At Railroad Park, you can stroll along the walking trail, picnic or play games on the nine acres of open lawn, and partake in many exciting Birmingham events throughout the year. Your dog must be leashed at all times. Some special events may not be pet-friendly.

Eastgate Park Dog Park

The park offers various dog obstacles and challenges. With separate fenced areas for large and small dogs, the park is a perfect choice for pooches of all sizes.

Munny Sokol Park

Three fences in areas for dogs to play in. One for big dogs, one for all dogs and one for training. Its n the back section of the park off Old Colony Rd, across from the golf course, behind the baseball fields.

Mill Creek Dog Park

A large two section off-leash dog park with a four foot fence around the small dog section and six foot fence between the sections, around the large dog section and enclosing the leasing zone. Large enough for ChuckIt and shaded by leafy trees the park is drawing regular visitors. Ample Dogipot bags and baskets are provided to keep the dog park and surrounding park clean. Compliance is good. There was water available through winter. Google maps misplaces this park if the address is used. It is adjacent to the Mill Creek Greenway between Mill Rd and Brownsferry Rd eastbound just off Balch Rd.

Fairhope Dog Park

This is a gem of a dog park; grassy with lots of shade. We had our 2 Scotties with us and there was plenty of room to run and explore. There's an area for large dogs but I didn't check that out.

A small park (no separate large & small dog areas but still plenty of room to run) near downtown with benches & a fountain. Limited shade but it's a brand new park and trees will be added. After playtime. put your dog's leash on and take a few minutes to explore the lovely historic Oakleigh Garden District (through the north entrance). It has sidewalks and plenty of shade.

Guntersville Dog Park

A new dog park has been constructed near the lake in Guntersville. The park is off of Sunset Drive directly behind the little league baseball fields. Near the dog park is a child's play area and beautiful walking trail. The dog park has two different areas. An area for small dogs and a separate area for large dogs.

British Park

Not an official dog park, but this small, fenced area welcomes well-behaved, leashed dogs to run and play. Shaded by huge live oaks with benches, this is as pretty a park as you'll find anywhere. Parking available in the historic downtown neighborhood.

The Foley Dog Park is located adjacent to the Rose Trail and south of the US Post Office on US 98. The park includes a fenced area divided into separate sections for big and small dogs. Thirty trees have been planted to grow a canopy of shade within the fenced-in area of the park. Park hours are from dawn to dusk.
