The dog park is divided into two separate areas; one side for dogs up to 35 lbs and the other for larger dogs. Cooters Pond Dog Park at Cooters Pond Park Cooters Pond Dog Park at Cooters Pond Park features a large fenced in dog area with bags and trash cans for clean up. Picnic areas available outside of dog play area. Directions: coming from Montgomery, take US 31 North towards Prattville. Once you pass county road 4 (on left) take your next right - Scenic Dr (there is a sign for the park just prior). Take another immediate right onto Cooter Pond Rd and follow for a few miles to the park. Once at the park take a left and then another left up the hill to the overlook. Each is approximately the size of two football fields and designed with dog safety in mind, having a divided play area for dogs less than 25 pounds. Fairhope Dog Park The Fairhope Dog Park is an off–leash park located in the Fairhope Municipal Sporting Park / Volanta Sports Complex. The park is a joint effort between the Fairhope Dog Park Coalition and the City of Fairhope. The 2-acre park consists of two sections, one for small and the other for large dogs. Each section has watering stations, benches, waste bags and collection stations. Dog owners who use the park are ask to abide by the dog park rules which are posted at the entrance of the park. Foley Dog Park The Foley Dog Park is located adjacent to the Rose Trail and south of the US Post Office on US 98. The park includes a fenced area divided into separate sections for big and small dogs. Thirty trees have been planted to grow a canopy of shade within the fenced-in area of the park. Heritage Park Cullman Heritage Park opened in 1994 and is a recreational complex with five championship lighted softball fields, five professional soccer fields, an outdoor basketball court, a beach volleyball court, a multi-purpose athletic field, a water sprinkler play area, a 1 1/2 mile paved walking trail, a newly constructed dog park, and an 18 hole frisbee golf course. Mill Creek Dog Park Mill Creek Dog Park is a 1.43 acre fenced park and sits along the Mill Creek Greenway The park is divided into three separate areas. The 20 ft x 30 ft staging area at the entrance of the park allows dog owners to unleash their pet before allowing them to enter the play areas. The play areas are divided into two sections, one designated for smaller doges, weighing 25 pounds or less and one designated for larger dogs, weighing over 25 pounds. Drinking water is provided for both pets and humans as well as trash receptacles and dog waste bag dispensers.
