Chewacla State Park Chewacla State Park in Auburn, AL, offers a variety of dog-friendly trails for you to explore with your pup. With loop trails that take less than 30 minutes to complete and out-and-back trails that take more than an hour, this park offers something for every hiking ability. Dogs are welcome in most park areas as long as the dog is on a leash. Bike and horseback riding trails may not allow dogs for safety reasons. Alabama Music Hall of Fame The Alabama Music Hall of Fame is a pet-friendly museum that honors all styles of music and is dedicated to the preservation and celebration of Alabama's musicians and the state's great musical heritage. It offers a self-guided tour where you can take your time and walk yourself through the museum alongside your furry friend. Leashed dogs are welcome throughout. Tickets are $10 for adults. Russell Cave National Monument Russell Cave National Monument is a pet-friendly historic site in Bridgeport, AL. Once home to prehistoric peoples, it functions today as an archaeological site and historic monument, containing the most complete record of prehistoric cultures in the southeastern United States. The surrounding grounds are home to a museum, bookstore, and nature trails. Prehistoric tools and weapons demonstrations are available, and a Native American Festival takes place annually at the park. Dogs are allowed in the park but must remain on a leash at all times, and owners must clean up after their pets. While visiting, they offer Fido the chance to join the Bark Ranger program.
