The mission of the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is to serve as America’s resource for nuclear history and science. The Museum presents exhibits and quality educational programs that convey the diversity of individuals and events that shape the historical and technical context of the nuclear age.

The Museum strives to tell the story of the Atomic Age, from early research of nuclear development through today’s peaceful uses of technology. The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is the only Smithsonian Affiliate Museum in the city of Albuquerque. The Museum was chartered by Congress in 1991 as the official Atomic Museum of the United States.

Admission costs $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, $11 for kids ages 6-17, and is free for dogs and kids 5 and under.
