Dog Friendly Hiking Trails Near SEA Airport

Seahurst Park in Burien, WA, welcomes leashed dogs to join you for a hike on the pet-friendly trails in the woods or for a stroll along the lake. This 178-acre park features forests, streams, wetlands and a pebble-beach shoreline. Public restrooms are available as well as a picnic pavilion and parking lot.

The King County Interurban Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Kent! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the King County Interurban Trail. Leashed dogs are welcome to join you at the pet-friendly Saltwater State Park in Des Moines, WA. Enjoy the North Rim and South Rim hiking trails, or have lunch with a view at one of the picnic tables. Please note that pets are not permitted in designated swim areas and must be cleaned up after. There is an entrance fee and a seasonal snack shack located within the park.
