This dog-friendly trail is located within Lake Perris State Recreation Area and will take about 1.5 hours to complete with Fido. The well-marked trail is a great way to train for higher-altitude hikes. It has some very steep sections where you will gain a lot of elevation and is a great workout, and is accessible year-round. Dogs are able to use this trail but must be kept on a leash. Lake Perris State Recreation Area charges a fee to enter. Fees are per vehicle. If you are entering on foot or bike there is no fee. Black Mountain Trail Black Mountain Trail is a difficult, 6.9 mile hike in San Bernardino National Forest that will take about 4 hours to complete with Fido. This beautiful, dog-friendly hike in Banning, CA, will have you thinking you are in the Sierra Nevada with its granite boulders, large pines, open vistas, and beautiful views. Located high above the hills of Yucaipa, Wildwood Canyon provides panoramic views of the stunning hills and valleys in the area. The area is covered in old oak wooded areas and broad grasslands. There's no need for a permit when hiking this peak, the highest outside of the National Forest. The trail will take you on a very rocky path through the alpine forest. Be sure to bring plenty of water and check Fido's paws frequently. This area is subject to seasonal closure due to weather conditions. This hike is known to be a very difficult, 11-mile hike in San Bernardino National Forest that will take about 6.5 hours to complete with Fido. This trail is easily accessible and has a large parking lot. The creek flows heavy in spring and early summer, but dries later in the year. This trail is known to be extremely difficult, 12.2-mile hike in San Bernardino National Forest that will take about 7.5 hours to complete with Fido. Heading into the San Gorgonio Wilderness and getting to the San Bernardino Divide is difficult on any trail. Even the most conditioned dogs will struggle on this trail.
