Leashed dogs welcome on many of the Fallbrook Land Conservancy Preserves. Monserate Mountain trail has 1.5 mile climb to summit for panoramic views to ocean and mountains. Bring water. Too hot for dogs in summer. Trailhead just east of I-15 at intersection of Stewart Canyons and Pankey Rd.

San Luis Rey Bike Trail

The San Luis Rey Bike Trail is bicycle and pedestrian friendly. Dogs must be kept on a leash of not more than 6 feet. The trail is paved and mostly flat with multiple entry points, mostly where the road crosses over the path. It's a well maintained trail but not lit, so be sure to be visible at night.
