Pet Friendly Crowders Mountain
Crowders Mountain Crowders Mountain allows dogs on all trails, as long as they're on a leash no longer than six feet long. Pets must not be left unattended, and campers cannot confine pets to enclosed vehicles or tents during the park's quiet hours. Pets are not allowed in bathhouses, changing areas, rinsing stations, swimming areas, restrooms, visitor centers or rental boats. Exceptions are service animals and authorized search and rescue dogs. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. All pets within the park must have a current rabies vaccination. See Details
Pet Friendly Gateway Trail
Gateway Trail The Kings Mountain Gateway Trail is a greenway designed to connect the City of Kings Mountain to Crowders Mountain State Park, Kings Mountain State Park, Kings Mountain National Military Park. Recently completed trail extend to I-85 are 5 miles of paved trail and soft-packed gravel trail. Future plans are to extend the trail to the Boulders Access facility on Bethlehem Road. See Details

Although most of the trails in this park are rugged difficult trails, this one offers an easy hike for all hikers and dogs. Tower and Backside Trail Tower and Backside Trail is a difficult, 3 mile hike in Crowders Mountain State Park that will take about 2 hours to complete with Fido. Pinnacle Trail The Pinnacle Trail is a difficult, 3.4 mile hike in Crowders Mountain State Park that will take about 2 hours to complete with Fido. This park offers a nice retreat for city dwellers, since it is very close to Charlotte. The park elevation ranges from 900 to 2000 feet, which makes it ideal for most year round. If you have a large or longhaired dog, summer may be too hot. Please note that dogs must be on a 6-foot leash and attended at all times. See Details
