Pet Friendly Black Mountain Trail
Black Mountain Trail Black Mountain Trail is a difficult, 6.9 mile hike in San Bernardino National Forest that will take about 4 hours to complete with Fido. This beautiful hike will have you thinking you are in the Sierra Nevada with its granite boulders, large pines, open vistas, and beautiful views. Although you will need an Adventure Pass for parking, no permit is required to use the trail. Dogs must be leashed at all times. See Details
Terri Peak Trail Terri Peak Trail is a moderately easy, 3.5 mile hike in Lake Perris State Recreation Area that will take about 1.5 hours to complete with Fido. This well marked trail is a great way to train for higher altitude hikes. The trail has some very steep section where you will gain a lot of elevation and is a great workout. See Details
Kitching Peak Trail Kitching Peak Trail is a difficult, 8 mile hike in San Bernardino National Forest that will take about 5 hours to complete with Fido. From the top of this trail you will see spectacular views of the mountains, dropoffs, and desert floor. Sometimes this trail is closed so you may want to contact the Ranger Station ahead of time. San Gorgonio Trail San Gorgonio Trail is an extremely difficult, 16 mile hike in San Bernardino National Forest that will take about 9.5 hours to complete with Fido. Many hikers use this as training for Mount Whitney. Within the half mile after crossing Mill Creek you will gain 1000 feet in elevation as you switchback into the San Gorgonio Wilderness. See Details
Lake Perris State Recreation Area Lake Perris State Recreation Area has some dog-friendly trails and campsites. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed within 100 feet of the water. Fido can join you on the bike trail that loops around the lake, taking in the crystal waters and the rolling hills in the backdrop. You can also take your pooch into the campgrounds in the area.
