Dog Park at Roger's Park
The Dog Park at Roger's Park recently swung open its gates to Texan terriers of all sizes. This tail-wagging spot in Beaumont, TX, is divided into two sections, one for pint-sized pups under 30 pounds and another for the big barkers. Your furry friend will have a ball with top-notch amenities like agility equipment, a refreshing water fountain, comfy benches for humans, and convenient waste stations.
After your pup has chased her tail to her heart’s content, trot over to Pour Brothers Brewery. The spacious outdoor beer garden is the perfect place for a cool drink with your four-legged companion. When it’s time to turn in, head to Residence Inn by Marriott Beaumont, which welcomes two pets of any size and features green spaces with waste stations.
Pints & Paws at Edgewood
What more could a pooch ask for than a day at Pints & Paws? This seasonal, pet-friendly beer garden and dining patio was crafted with canines in mind. Fido can stretch out in the spacious outdoor area, complete with a convenient order window, covered seating, umbrella-shaded tables, lawn games, and a stage for live tunes. Hungry hounds can order off the dog menu, which includes doggy sundaes and barkuterie boards, and humans can enjoy burgers, wings, or sandwiches.
After a day of fun, rest easy at the Red Roof Inn & Suites in nearby Hazleton. They allow dogs and cats of any size for no additional charge.
Wabasha Dog Park
Over 30 tail-wagging pups and their humans gathered to celebrate the “fur-bulous” grand opening of the Wabasha Dog Park in southern Minnesota. Thanks to a pack of local donors and community leaders, this doggy dream finally came true! The park boasts two separate fenced areas, perfect for pups of all sizes to run, romp and roll. Some of its amenities include access to shade and fresh water, benches, and tables for owners to sit and socialize.
After all that play, Fido can head over to the outdoor patio at Herb + Arrow for a fresh brick oven pizza. And if you're planning to make a weekend out of it, this “paw-sitively” charming house on the Mississippi River welcomes two pets of any size. With a spacious yard and dock access, your pups will feel like top dogs in Wabasha!
Pilgrimage Wine Company
Pilgrimage Wine Company invites you and your furry friend to sip and stay awhile in true Hoosier style. This veteran-owned, family-operated vineyard welcomes leashed pooches to relax under the covered patio or umbrella-shaded seating with their owners. Discover high-quality, locally grown wines with a seasonally rotating menu, and don’t forget to fetch a bottle (or two!) to take home.
This 2-bedroom home in Cambridge City is the “paw-fect” place to recharge while Fido explores the spacious yard.
Belmont County Dog Park
Fido can make a splash at the Belmont County Dog Park in St. Clairsville, OH, which recently opened with a community-wide celebration featuring a special surprise. The park’s ribbon-cutting ceremony honored Sheriff Dave Lucas for his community efforts by also naming the park after him. Sheriff Lucas rallied volunteers and set up an inmate program to build the park without a single doggone dime of taxpayer dollars. The park is a pup’s paradise, with separate gated areas for both small and large dogs, water fountains, waste bag dispensers, and even decorative fire hydrants. On hot summer days, Fido can take a dip in the doggy pools, which are a big hit with Sheriff Lucas’ own dog, Loki.
Afterward, grab a cold drink on the patio at Beech Hill Bar, a community staple since 1959. Then rest your paws at the highly-rated Candlewood Suites St Clairsville an IHG Hotel.
El Dorado Dog Park
Attention El Dorado dogs! Get ready to unleash your excitement at the new El Dorado Dog Park, located within the city’s Historical Railroad Park. This bark-tastic spot features two separate sections so both large and small dogs can romp around to their heart’s content. With shaded seating areas and waste bag stations, this park’s got all your pup’s needs covered. If you’re up for some additional tail-wagging adventures, the park also links up to the El Dorado Trail, a pet-friendly hiking path perfect for exploring together.
For a memorable stay nearby, book a night at the Glen Morey Country House B&B Inn, a quaint bed and breakfast where two dogs of any size are welcome for no additional fee.
