New Pet-Friendly Hotels: October 2022

October brings six hotels that are welcoming furry guests for the first time. From big city Georgia to small town Vermont, Fido can sleep and stay at these newly pet-friendly accommodations across America this month.

Thompson Buckhead

Nestled in one of Atlanta’s most chic and upscale neighborhoods, Thompson Buckhead provides hip hounds first-class accommodations in a boutique setting. Four-legged guests receive plush pet beds and water bowls at check-in. Luxury rooms and suites feature hardwood floors, chaise lounge areas, custom work desks, curated minibars, rainfall showers and stunning city views. Take a dip in the rooftop swimming pool, hit the treadmill in the 24-hour fitness center and experience fine dining at the on-site Italian restaurant.

Fido can mingle with fellow mutts at Fetch Park Buckhead, an off-leash dog park and sports bar located one block from the hotel. A $10 daily entry fee is required.

Thompson Buckhead welcomes two dogs of any size for no additional fee.

The Getaway

Furry travelers eager to explore one of the most pet-friendly beach towns in the country will find all the comfort and hospitality they need at The Getaway. Tasty treats, cozy dog beds and water bowls await pups upon arrival. Contemporary rooms adorned with breezy decor are outfitted with fireplaces, sleeper sofa living areas, small dining tables and charming courtyard views. A breakfast basket is delivered to rooms each morning, and wine receptions are held daily at 5 p.m. Guests can also borrow a beach bike and cruise the streets of downtown Carmel.

Enjoy delicious Mediterranean cuisine on the dog-friendly patio at nearby Enzo before heading down the road to Carmel Beach, one of the best dog beaches on the west coast.

The Getaway accepts one dog of any size for an additional fee of $100 per stay, and two dogs of any size for $150 per stay.

In addition to yummy treats and water bowls, guest pups will receive a warm Music City welcome at BentoLiving Chestnut Hill. Apartment-style studios and suites contain full kitchens, Murphy beds, HD Smart TVs, complimentary WiFi, private balconies and a washer/dryer in select units. On-site amenities include a rooftop bar, restaurant, marketplace, boutique shops and fitness center. Dudley Park is right across the street and a great spot to take Fido for a morning or evening stroll.

Sample a variety of sweet seasonal cider at Diskin Cider, located less than one mile from the hotel. Leashed dogs are permitted at patio tables.

BentoLiving Chestnut Hill accepts pets up to 60 lbs for an additional fee of $20 per pet, per night.

Element Bend

Located at the edge of the Deschutes National Forest in the shadow of the Cascade Mountains, Element Bend makes the perfect dog-friendly basecamp for outdoor adventure in central Oregon. Spacious rooms and suites designed for long-term stays come equipped with laminate flooring, separate sitting/living areas and either kitchenettes or full kitchens. Take advantage of excellent property amenities, including a complimentary grab ‘n go breakfast, indoor swimming pool, state-of-the-art fitness center and lobby convenience store.

Pups can sniff the shelves for a copy of “Air Bud” at the world’s last remaining Blockbuster, located within walking distance of the hotel.

Element Bend welcomes two pets up to 50 lbs for an additional fee of $50 per stay.

Tru by Hilton Hotel Crossett

The dog-friendly Tru by Hilton Hotel Crossett is happy to call the quaint town of Crossett – the Forestry Capital of the South – home. Settle into cozy rooms featuring laminate wood flooring, rolling work desks, mini refrigerators and bathrooms with walk-in showers. Feast on a free daily breakfast, work out in the on-site gym, swim laps in the outdoor pool, and load up on snacks and drinks at the lobby market.

Pack up Fido and head two miles to Crossett City Park where leashed pups are allowed to splash in Lucas Pond and walk the three-mile paved trail.

Tru by Hilton Hotel Crossett accepts two pets of any size for an additional fee of $50 (for stays of 1 to 4 nights) and $75 (for longer stays).

Hampton Inn St. Albans

Adjacent to the shores of Lake Champlain in downtown St. Albans, the Hampton Inn St. Albans offers canine guests relaxing lodging in a small-town atmosphere. Modern rooms include sofa beds, work desks, mini refrigerators, HDTVs and complimentary high-speed internet. Fuel up in the morning on a free breakfast, exercise in the fitness center and go for a soothing swim in the heated indoor pool.

Leashed dogs are permitted to hike the woodland trails at nearby Hard’ack Recreation Area.

Hampton Inn St. Albans welcomes two pets up to 60 lbs for an additional fee of $75 (for stays of 1 to 4 nights) and $125 (for longer stays).
