In Dewey Beach, Delaware, dogs are allowed on the beach before 9:30 am and after 5:30 pm during the summer (mid-May through mid-September). Dogs are allowed on the beach at all times during the day from mid-September to mid-May. You must clean up after your dog at all times, and all dogs must have a Dewey Beach dog license that can be obtained from Town Hall located at 105 Rodney Ave.

Junction and Breakwater Trail

The Junction and Breakwater Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Dewey Beach!
