Heart of the City 5K Run/Walk

Heart of the City is a 5K run/walk designed to raise funds for, and awareness of, California Hospital Medical Center. It is a pledge-based event, allowing participants to raise additional support from their friends and colleagues. Adult participants will receive race t-shirts that look like fun scrub tops. This dog-friendly event will begin and end in front of the hospital at 1401 S. Grand Avenue, traveling along Grand Ave., 11th Street and Figueroa Street between 7th Street and Venice Boulevards. Companies and organizations can participate by becoming sponsors or participating in our Corporate Cup challenge. Corporate Cup teams compete against each other for a special trophy, and participants can also purchase a discounted Course Sponsorship. Funds raised from this event will help us continue to create healthier tomorrows for thousands of people. Proceeds from our 2014 race will benefit the acquisition of a state-of-the-art 128-slice CT scanner, and complete renovation of one of the floors in the hospital's patient tower.
