Houndaween Bites With Bassets

The Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California will host Houndaween Bites With Bassets on October 4th from 1pm – 4pm at the Buffalo Fire Department restaurant in Torrance. Enjoy great food prepared by Chef Michael Shafer along with beer, wine, and mimosas. BHRSC private label wine and BHRSC Brew will be available for tasting and purchase as well. Houndaween is going to be a great event that will showcase BHRSC available hounds while giving attendees the opportunity to attend an upscale event with their own hound(s). There will be live music, a human & pet costume contest, and a Silent & Live Auction. We have amazing auction prizes which range from a hot air balloon ride, lunch with BHRSC Alumni adopter, David Arquette, a Disney basket which has 4 Disneyland Park Hopper tickets, along with 10 Blu-Ray/DVD, and a private wine tasting dinner in Pasadena presented by chef Lisa Feinstein and Wine Ambassador Annette Florez. Attendees will also be able to donate towards specific needs of our special hounds. Tickets are $60 at the door. Dogs of all ages are welcome but humans should be 21 and older. Houndaween is sponsored by Buffalo Fire Department and Consulteron, in memory of Louise DiStefano. All of the proceeds from this event go to saving the Basset Hounds we rescue. Nearly 1,700 hounds have been placed in their forever homes since our inception. It’s amazing that three hound lovers built this organization just by saving one hound in 1997.
