Description
The Icelandic Festival of Manitoba is a pet-friendly event in Gimli, MB. Back in 1875, the town of Gimli along Lake Winnipeg was granted to Icelandic settlers, which is why the area pays homage to Norse mythology. Every year, Viking Park in Gimli takes center stage for the Icelandic Festival, an event that pays homage to Norse mythology with races, contests and more. The festival is largely outdoors and can be crowded. Visitors with pets may want to avoid the fireworks on Saturday evening.
