Dress Your Dog to the Doggie Nines for the “Paws for the Cause” Cancer Awareness All Breed Dog Walk and Costume Contest” and LIVE AUCTION! Large, Medium, and Small Dogs Welcome "Help provide hope, renewal and regeneration for the quality of life of a cancer survivor! A “Free” community event offers a people and canine celebration day, focusing on a pledge-driven, cancer awareness fundraiser dog-walk & costume contest. Where: The Merced Dog Park, R & Yosemite, Merced, California Why: The purpose of the event is to raise cancer awareness, and to raise funds to benefit “Free” restorative wellness programs for cancer survivors; art, restorative movement, cancer awareness events, comedy, journaling classes throughout Merced County. There will be TWO costume parades; one for small dogs (under 40 lbs) and one for larger dogs. There will be several categories; each contest will award prizes for each winning category. PRIZES -Biggest Dog wearing a costume in the Large Dog Parade - Smallest Dog Wearing a Costume in the Small Dog Parade- Oldest Dog wearing a costume -Youngest Dog wearing a costume- Scariest Costume- Funniest Costume and many more categories.
