This dog friendly event will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on select dates from September 4, 2026 to September 12, 2026 at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Middleburg Heights, OH. Admission is varied, and $8 per Dachshund for racing, and benefits Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue.

Description
The Cleveland Oktoberfest hosts Wiener Dog Races as part of the festival! The event will include heats for adult Dachshunds (1-8 years old) as well as for puppies (8 weeks to 1 year) and seniors (8 years and older). The adults run 40 feet, while puppies and seniors run 25 feet (though a few just run back to their owners). Four dogs will race in each heat. Races will be held Sat, Sept 5th – Mon, Sept 7th, and Sat, Sept 12th, with a costume contest at 3 PM each day.
