Wiener Dog Races are a highlight of Mount Angel Oktoberfest! Each dog needs two handlers present at the course at the time of the race. Check-in begins at 9:00 AM. Preregistration is recommended as there's a limit of 70 racers. Walk-ins are welcome but aren't guaranteed to participate. You must have proof of rabies vaccination at registration.

The races take place during Kenmore Oktoberfest. Dachshunds are welcome to race in the main event, and mixed breeds are welcome in the Wiener Dog Wannabe Race. Two handlers are required for start and finish lines, and all handlers must be at least 18 years of age. A current rabies vaccination is required for all pups. Kenmore’s Oktoberfest brings Bavarian fun to the Pacific Northwest with a spirited mix of beer gardens, sing-alongs, and live music. Bring Fido to the Annual Wiener Dog Races (on September 20th), savor PNW and German brews, and join in family-friendly games like stein holding and pretzel tossing. It all kicks off with a traditional firkin keg tapping and wraps up with a pop-up market, root beer garden, and festival flair spread all across Kenmore’s Brew Row and public spaces. A Washington State Parks Discover Pass is required at the park. Purchase an annual pass ($35) or one-day pass ($11.50) on site. On the final day of Fremont Oktoberfest, leashed and friendly pups are invited to join the fun! This 21+ event offers beer tasting, stein hoisting, live music, and the vibrant, non-traditional outdoor Oktoberfest atmosphere that defines Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood. Four-legged guests will be treated to a free doggie bandana, collapsible pet bowl, and waste bags while supplies last.

Leashed dogs are welcome at this annual weekend-long festival! There will be entertainment, food, drinks and a variety of activities every day. Some activities include the car show, Oktoberfest Olympics, street dances, the Annual Wiener Dog Races, and more. Many events are free and some require the purchase of an entry wristband.

A three-day outdoor celebration for dogs and their people featuring disc dog competitions, flyball demos, AKC performance and title testing, costume and trick contests, live music, and a Sunday FIDO Fit Dog Walk. Leashes are required except while participating in specific activities.

Explore designated dog-friendly paths, meet amazing animals, snap adorable selfies, and share a memorable day at the zoo with your furry companion! All canine guests must be up to date on vaccinations and kept on a non-retractable leash no longer than six feet. Advance dog ticket purchase is required. No dog tickets will be sold at the gate and there's a limit of one dog per adult.

The dog park bar is throwing down Oktoberfest-style to celebrate more than a decade of dogs, beer and good times. The full yard will be open for off-leash play, and there will be a ball drop prize event and raffles!

Cairn Terriers and their owners are encouraged to register for this fundraising event presented by the Columbia River Cairn Terrier Club. Participants can choose between a 0.8-mile route around the lake or a 1.5-mile path through the park to socialize with fellow dog lovers and their pet companions. Participants should meet at the west end of the park at the junction of Foothill Drive and Dellwood Avenue.

Celebrate the spooky season with Fido at this festive Halloween event! Gather at the Amphitheater at 11:00 AM for the Pet Parade, and register your pet to participate in the Costume Competition. Food trucks and vendors will also be on site.

Bring your pup for the Dogwood Dash! This flat, mostly paved 5K welcomes both runners and walkers, with a mix of packed gravel and grassy sections. Registration includes an event T-shirt and finisher medal. Please note that strollers are not permitted on the course.

A dog-friendly, costumed gathering in support of shelter animals! Bowser’s Boo Bash is an autumnal soiree filled with frights, delights, and oodles of bewitching activities for both mortals and canines!

This annual event features a pet parade, costume contest, and photo booth featuring the Great Pumpkin. Registration opens at 1:00 PM, with the parade and judging beginning at 1:30 PM, awarding prizes in Spookiest, Funniest, Most Creative, Best Group, and Best in Show categories. Guests are encouraged to bring pet food donations for the Ballard Food Bank.

Bring Fido for a scenic train ride along the Tillamook Coast to enjoy fall’s vibrant colors. Dogs are welcome in the open-air cars. This fall train excursion offers panoramic views of forests, the Nehalem Bay coastline and the Coast Range mountains. Passengers can learn about the history of the railroad and surrounding natural areas from onboard docents before enjoying a 45-minute layover in Wheeler to explore local shops and food options. Trips depart at 2 PM on Fridays, and at 11 AM and 2 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

Fido will love spending time with his furry friends at this monthly event at the distillery. Guests will receive cocktail specials, complimentary pup cups, dog treats, and doggie bandanas.

The Arthritis Foundation’s race is the original festive race for charity with your pup. It’s where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume. Bring a team of friends, family, and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure Fido is kept on a leash at all times. Check-in starts at 7:00 AM and the race begins at 8:30 AM.

Join Maryhill's monthly Paws on the Patio event, where dogs and their owners can enjoy wine, pet treats, and special bandanas (while supplies last) while supporting local rescue organizations. Guests can sip the current wine flight on the patio, and $5 from every bottle of Rescue Red or Whiskers White purchased is donated to rescue partners.

Dog Days at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is a special outdoor event where dog owners and their leashed, well-behaved pups can explore the wildlife park together on scenic trails. Dog-friendly days are held on select dates throughout the season, so make sure to check the website's schedule for special dates. With advance tickets required, this tail-wagging experience includes pup cups, the option to take part in a Wild Drive adventure through roaming animal habitat, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature side-by-side with your canine companion. There's a limit of one dog per adult guest.
