Step back in time at a lively, family-friendly marketplace inspired by the 18th century. Guests can browse handcrafted goods from skilled artisans, watch live demonstrations of traditional trades, and enjoy period-style music, food, and entertainment. Leashed dogs are permitted on the property with the exception of the following areas: the Mansion and all other historic buildings, the Ford Orientation Center, Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center, the Shops of Mount Vernon, the Food Court and Pavilion, the Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant, and the Distillery & Gristmill.

Following the parade, pets can participate in a talent show and create artwork with their owners, including their own pet-inspired Walk of Fame star.

Bring Fido out to a baseball game! Dog-friendly games are held on select dates throughout the season, so make sure to check the website's schedule to catch a game. Special ticket buyers and their dogs will be invited to participate in a postgame parade on the warning track. All proceeds from the dog ticket sales will be donated to the Humane Rescue Alliance.

Leashed dogs are welcome at this annual fall fair that features local and national artists showcasing a diverse range of fine art, including sculptures, jewelry, woodwork, paintings wearable art and more. Visitors will have the chance to meet artists, explore their techniques, commission custom pieces, and learn about their inspirations.

As part of the annual Oktoberfest at The Wharf festival, the crowd favorite Wiener dog races will be hosted by Tommy McFly. Prizes are awarded to the speediest dogs. All breeds are welcome to watch, but only Dachshunds can participate in the race. There will also be an Adoptable Dog Parade between the Dachshund races.

Dogs must be friendly, sociable, and current on vaccinations, and owners are asked to clean up after their pets. Children under 16 aren't permitted unless closely supervised, and humans aren't allowed in the pool.

Fido is welcome in the outdoor areas and large parts of the indoor tent area, except for the Käthe Wohlfahrt vending area.
