Dog Events in Springfield, TN

Enjoy a rain-or-shine fall race featuring a timed 5K and an untimed 1-mile fun run/walk along Springfield Greenway and Sulphur Creek. The paved course welcomes runners and walkers of all skill levels. Bring your family and leashed pup, wear a costume, and enter the Halloween costume contest for a chance to win prizes!

Celebrate the season with Fido with a festive holiday festival for all ages. Enjoy kids’ crafts, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus (pet photos available during a special session), live music and dance, carolers, food trucks, and artisan vendor booths offering unique gifts. Please note that dogs aren't permitted in any buildings, including The Hermitage Mansion or Andrew Jackson Center. Please bring bags to dispose of pet waste.

Bring your furry friends, big or small, and watch them strike adorable poses with Santa! Pet Photos will be located near Entry 2 between Coach and Ann Taylor. Photos will be taken and available for purchase at this event. Reservations are highly recommended.

Experience the magic of Christmas with Fido! Visitors receive a free 4x6" photo with Santa. Other photo packages available for purchase. Advance reservations are highly recommended and can go quickly. Hours vary by store.

Each January 8th, Hermitage welcomes visitors free of charge to honor the Battle of New Orleans, the decisive 1815 victory that elevated Andrew Jackson to national fame. The day includes a wreath-laying ceremony at Jackson’s tomb, a keynote address, and access to the estate’s 1,120 acres of history. Leashed dogs are welcome to roam the historic grounds. Dogs aren't permitted in any buildings, including The Hermitage Mansion or Andrew Jackson Center. Please bring bags to dispose of waste.
