2017 BUFFALO UNDY RUN/WALK

Run brave and knock out colon cancer! Dare to be bold at the Undy Run/Walk, a family and pet friendly underwear themed-5K that raises funds and awareness for colon cancer. Puppies and Beers with Recycle-A-Bull Bully Breed Rescue Inc.

Bring Fido and join in for a night of beer specials and voting to name Recycle A Bull Bully Breed Rescue's 16 brand new puppies! They will be collecting toys (nylabones, Kongs, rope toys) towels, puppy pads, diamond brand puppy food and wellness brand wet food. The Gold Coast Cluster

Long Island dogs and their owners will get the chance to strut their stuff at the annual all-breed dog shows, obedience and AKC Rally trials, In addition to watching more than 800 dogs entered to compete in a variety of dog sports, visitors and their purebred or all-American dogs can get in on the action at AKC’s My Dog Can Do That, where participants try out Agility, a fun and fast-paced obstacle course. They can also test their water skills at Dock Diving in the 25,000-gallon tank as part of this three-day celebration. An AKC Reunite Pet Disaster Relief Trailer will also be on site to highlight the American Kennel Club’s disaster relief efforts nationwide. The trailer, which helps create a safe, temporary home-base for at least 50 pets immediately after a disaster is declared, will be available for viewing at the show. The Ladies Kennel Association of America has donated a second trailer to the Office of Emergency Management in Nassau County, and was once again recognized by Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano this past March. NYBizDB in cooperation with the local animal shelter, would like to invite the local community to join the Charity Run with Dogs. The rules are simple: you have to run with either your dog or a dog provided by the Brooklyn Animal Shelter. All profits will be donated to help all the homeless animals in the local area.

Bark at the Park at Citi Field

Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade

Dogs let their alter-egos shine, putting on some of the cutest and most creative costumes you've ever seen at the annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade. The event takes place in the East Village at Tompkins Square dog run from noon until 3pm. CNN calls it "the largest dog costume parade in the world” with hundreds of dogs in costumes and thousands of spectators. The London Guardian says “It’s Barkin’ Mad.”

Adirondack Christmas on Main Street's Holiday Pet Parade

Dress your dog in their holiday best and parade them down Main Street in Inlet, NY for the Holiday Dog Parade. Treats will be provided to all canine participants and a special prize will go to best costume! The parade route will go through town and end in front of Town Hall where a group photo will be taken. Meet in the parking lot between St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the Church of the Lakes and be sure to register before the parade begins.
