Deck the Paws Holiday Pup-Up Come get your holiday card photos taken with your dogs! There will be a photo booth setup with holiday props (Christmas, Hanukkah, and winter-themed)! To guarantee your entry, please book your spot ahead of time. Please bring one item from a curated list from the animal rescue partners or show proof of donation to one of the rescue partners. Each day a new rescue partner will be supported, and adoptable dogs will be invited to get their photos taken, too! LGWC Dog's Got Talent Bring your dog to Shepard’s Park beach and show them off at this annual event at the Lake George Winter Carnival! Amaze the judges with a special trick, or just look great! Prizes will be awarded to all 'pawticipants'. The show takes place every Sunday during the carnival. See Details
New York City Tartan Day Parade New York City Tartan Day Parade honors Tartan Day, the day proclaimed in the United States to honor its Scottish heritage. Hundreds of thousands of spectators line the streets to watch the procession on Sixth Avenue featuring hundreds of bagpipers, Highland dancers, and thousands of marchers, all lovers of Scotland and all things Scottish. The parade welcomes anyone with a Scottish breed dog to march in the parade. The dogs are separated in three packs: Hebridean Hunting Hounds (including Scottish Deerhounds, Wolf Hounds, Gordon Setters and Golden Retrievers), Highland Herders (including different Collie breeds, Shetland Sheep Dogs, etc.), and Wee Highland Warriors (including West Highland, Scottish and other Terriers).
