Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade

Pooches let their alter-egos shine, putting on some of the cutest and most creative costumes you've ever seen. CNN calls it "the largest dog costume parade in the world” with hundreds of dogs in costumes and thousands of spectators. Advanced registration and a ticket are required for participation in the parade and costume competition. The parade will travel south along Avenue B, from East 13th Street to East 7th Street at Tompkins Square Park. The Festival Block will be located on East 6th Street between Avenues B and C and will be open to the public from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM.

This dog-friendly Halloween celebration invites costumed pups to show off their creativity in an annual costume contest judged by a panel of community members and dog lovers. The event is free for participants and spectators, with prizes awarded to the first-, second- and third-place winners. The line to participate in the contest will open at 9:30 AM, and participants are encouraged to arrive before 10:00 AM. Contestants must be in line by 10:30 AM to participate.
