We were having a hard time finding a highly rated, dog-friendly hotel online in Utica. Our search led us to this Red Roof Inn, a few miles away. The room was clean and the staff was great. There is lots of green space for dogs and there was no pet fee! The hotel is has many restaurants nearby (a short drive), such as McDonalds and Applebees, and others. My dog was very happy here!

Nice place for an overnight just off I-90. Very dog friendly, good areas for walking, Our room was perfect. A bit noisy given proximity to interstate. Vet office across the street if needed.

Lots of green space to walk our dog and pet clean up stations. The room had minimal carpet, making pet cleanup easy. Plenty of room for our lab’s crate in a corner. Kids enjoyed the heated outdoor pool. Friendly staff made us and our dog feel at home. Though situated between the highway and a train track, it was a convenient stopover and the air conditioner provided enough white noise that we didn’t hear the train at all. We were able to easily park our large van and trailer nearby.

Very close to exit on I 90. No-frills but clean, accommodating staff, frig, coffee maker, continental breakfast and pet friendly. Grounds well maintained; though too cool when we were there, the pool looked clean and in good shape. Plenty of grassy areas to walk pets.

Clean, updated room, micro, frig, nice tv, internet, Keurig coffee in lobby. My bed was uncomfortable but husband's wasn’t. Bit noisy as interstate was next to us. Great room for 2 golden retriever, very affordable. Would stay again.

The room was decent, fairly clean. The noise from the freeway and the railroad was a little annoying. It had all the amenities that we needed: refrigerator, freezer, toiletries, etc. The staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was fine.

No issues with the room at all. Was perfect for a big dog. Hotel is close to I-90 and train tracks so it was a little noisy but not really bad.

Can't really say we enjoyed our stay here all that much. The hotel is very outdated and badly in need of an update. There is little to no soundproofing, so bring your earplugs. Several items in the room were in a state of disrepair, though none to the point that it wasn't functional. Normally I would give this hotel a lower rating, but it's a bargain priced hotel, so I can't realistically expect it to meet the standards of a four star hotel. There is also more than one building, apparently not built at the same time, and I can't say the conditions are the same in the other building. But what really keeps me from rating them lower was the staff. They're some of the friendliest and most helpful people you'll ever meet. Plus, despite the age of the place showing so much, it was still very clean.

good value stay for an overnight trip with two larger (60 lbs) dogs, nice grassy area, Denny's right next door, room was reasonably clean (especially for the covid era) though dusty in the corners.

Staff at check-in were so warm and welcoming toward my Newfie puppy (already a “large dog”), and to me. I felt at ease immediately. There’s ample grass around the hotel. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable. A few local restaurants deliver, which was helpful. I’ll stay again next time.

Treated very well by staff. Located a minute off US 90 just west of Albany/Schenectady. Clean rooms. Price very reasonable. Below average continental breakfast.

We are on the 4th day of our road trip and this place is just perfect. Check in was a breeze, super great staff (Lynne is lovely). Things I like: hard floors but carpet around bed (our bigger dog likes that to lay next to bed at night)
