Description
Backpack campers are welcome at Newport State Park Campground. The campground features wooded sites with open-air or pit toilets. Every site has shore access to Lake Michigan except for one which is on a different lake. The camp recommends making use of the provided metal food storage boxes, as racoons and porcupines can be an issue. It's a great base for exploring the park's 2,370 acres of forests and lake shores.
