  A nice stay

  While the suite had everything one would need, including a kitchen with stove microwave and full sized refrigerator, the pet stains and smell of urine was very strong, especially when the sun hit the floor!

  Super Nice Staff and Hotel

  Really enjoyed our stay. The staff at this hotel were the most friendly of any in our 5,000 mile journey. The rooms were nice. Great breakfast selection as well. Highly recommend a stay.

  Fine place to stay

  This hotel is right off I-90 so there’s not a lot of interest in the immediate neighborhood. However, it’s comfortable, clean, and very dog friendly. We found a nice conservation area for a walk about 5 miles away.

  Great Value

  Very pet friendly. Nice courtyard with grill, pool, on-site gym, and sometimes they have wine and snacks in the evening.

  Spacious room

  There was plenty of space for all of our road trip gear and dog stuff. The room was clean and well maintained and the hotel was quiet. Oddly, we got a call from the front desk at 6am because the people in the room below us complained about the noise we made while packing to leave in the morning. We were literally whispering to each other and the only noise we made was walking across the squeaky floor - we didn't turn on the tv or even shower before we left. It was a little annoying that the desk decided to make the call without investigating first.

  My parents were travelling with their service animal and upon check in, were asked to present identification for my mother's service animal. She made the front desk staff aware that she did not have any on her at which time she was told she would have to pay for her service animal (dog) to stay with her. She made the front desk person aware that it was illegal to do so and asked to speak with a manager. They refused to let her speak to anyone and eventually gave her a card with someone else's name on it but the phone number was for the front desk.

  After she again told them it was illegal to charge her for the service animal and she would not be paying the fee, they told her they would not be checking her in at all. I then made a phone call as I had been the one to book the room for them and eventually got through to someone (whose name he refused to give me); he told me that all persons with service animals are required to provide ID for the animal. After a lengthy conversation where I explained the ADA and persisted they be checked in since they had arrived at 7 and it was now past 8pm, he stated he would check my parents in this time.

  They then gave them a room on the 3rd floor even after my reservation had a note that my parent had a disability and a closer room would be greatly appreciated. That room had not been cleaned and there were still items from the previous guests in the bathroom. I'm very unhappy with the service my parents received at this hotel and that my mother was being discriminated against for having a disability. The staff clearly need retraining on the ADA.

  All you need

  We stayed there just for one night in transit. Location was convenient, close to I80, easy to find. Accommodations great, with 2 queen beds in the bedroom, separate living room area and kitchen. Very clean. Stuff was very pleasant and helpful. Outside area for dogs by this hotel is small, but you can easily walk around, there are other hotel sneer by with grassy spots. Poop bags are available outside. Hotel also provides breakfast. Overall, very good value for the price.

  Successful first hotel stay for dogs

  Wonderful experience for us and our dogs! there is a grassy area and a large parking lot connecting with another hotel, so a decent walking circuit. We found the carpeted stairs exit right next to our room 223 at the end of the hallway was the way to go, especially since Ana was freaked out by the elevator and front entrance. Clean, great fitness center, friendly staff, many breakfast choices with healthy options. Full kitchen if you want to cook. Elkhart has a nice River Walk area about 10 minutes drive away. We enjoyed both Island Park and the cultural downtown walk. The RV museum is pet friendly and a must do. Highly recommend Staybridge Suites.

  Clean, spacious room and friendly staff!

  Room was on fourth floor but at the end of the hallway near the stairs so we could step out for an easy potty break

  Not in good shape

  The suite was relatively clean, front desk staff friendly. But it seemed kind of old, run-down. The microwave didn't work. Tiles were missing along the bottom of the wall, not much lighting in the bedroom.

  The room was spotless, quiet and very comfortable. We are happy to have such a convenient stopping place midway on a two-day trip we have to make often.

  Great Hotel

  First off, this place has the nicest room and most comfy bed for the price. They treated our Dog Flexx extremely well and he also enjoyed the spacious room. The staff was super nice and helpful. We will stay here again for sure when passing through.

  Best stay of my trip

  Wished I would have had more time to check out this place but arrived late and left when I got up but the staff was super nice. The room was a suite with a full kitchen and much more than I needed but it was really nice. There was a nice area outside that had a grill and a few tables that I saw from my window. nice lit up grassy area right out front to take the dog out. While I was happy my room was close to the elevator there was more traffic and my dog did bark a couple of times. I would recommend highly. Maybe a little more pricey than some other places if you’re just looking to sleep but was worth it to me since feeling safe was a bigger concern since I was traveling by myself.

  Good hotel

  The hotel was fine. Quiet, good location, great room. However, when I checked in they did not have on file that I had 2 dogs with me. Luckily the staff was accommodating and it was not an issue. I also had reserved a King bed and ended up with what looked like a full-size bed. It was the same price for either and I was too tired to bother trying to get my room changed so I just left it alone. Otherwise it was a good stay!

  Off night

  I guess we must have hit an off night because we wouldn’t even think to look another along our journey East. The studio suite suited our needs nicely but the noise and light were terrible. People above us were, what sounded like stomping, all night long, people were outside the front door (and our window) talking all night long, light came through 3 sides of the door so we heard everything in the hall, and a cushion zipper on the lounge cushion on the sofa was broken so the cover didn’t stay on.

  Best on Trip!

  Seriously- we drive often to East Coast and this is the best we have ever stayed The room was generous, immaculate. And three nights a week they serve light salad suppers which was a complete surprise. Staff so welcoming. Kudos from the pooch!

  Great location, comfortable room

  Great location, right off the highway. Quiet, one bedroom suite tucked into a corner of the first floor. Couldn’t hear any other guests so no other guests could hear our dog. Comfortable bed. Nice having a small kitchen. Bathroom a little cramped and shabby but otherwise decent hotel room.

  Very Impressed!

  We were traveling cross country when we hit a huge blizzard in the middle of the night. We slid off the road into a ditch, and had to get towed out. Us and the pickup were fine, thank God. But we had JUST rescued our pup a few week prior, and had him with us... And he was understandably terrified. We had planned on just driving through the night but decided to stop in the next area that had hotels and shops and stuff. Elkhart was awesome for that. It was a good, safe, clean area with basically every shop and restaurant you could want. We called around and had a hard time finding any hotels that had available rooms that would also allow dogs. We ended up going with Staybridge Suites and I am so glad we did! We had told them about our situation on the phone, and they were so warm and welcoming. They had treats and stuff set up for us when we got there. They really helped make a scary situation into a good experience. Now whenever we travel this way, we make sure to stop there if we need to stay overnight!
