I was traveling with my kids and my puppy. I figured the dog rooms would be ground floor to have easier access to going out to potty. I was put in a room on the top floor and this made little sense to me. Additionally, dogs aren’t really allowed anywhere on the property besides halls and rooms. I guess I was naive, lol. Oh well. But my main issue was that people complained that my dog barked from 6pm to 7pm. He was hyper and excited and I tried really hard to get him to settle down (previously he was at doggy daycare so it was his first time exploring the hotel room).
I was surprised that they said multiple people complained because it wasn’t like it was in the middle of the night and it stopped. I got the call at 9:30pm way after he was calm and even asleep. I understand that this isn’t the resort's fault, but my goodness. I’d assume the pet rooms were all in the same area and people would be a bit more understanding. I spent my entire trip paranoid at every sound my dog made in the hotel after that.

Reasonable rates for both people and dogs. The rooms dedicated to dogs are in the older building, so somewhat worn. Nice large sidewalk nearby

We booked through BringFido and it was easy, BUT.... We booked the room at $222 nightly before taxes and fees. I clicked confirm to secure our room and as soon as the screen refreshed, the cost of the room went down to $161 nightly before taxes and fees. I called BringFido and was told that is what the resort charges and if it changes within a minute, that's up to the resort. So, I called the resort and they do not charge that much for the room I had booked and since I booked through a third party, they could not help me. We still had to pay the pet fee on top of that. If I would not have booked through BringFido, I could have saved like $70. Because I booked a non refundable trip through BringFido, this has now led me to not trust the prices shown and I will now book through the resort web page instead.

We had a great time at Bakers Sunset. Comfortable room and great location. We stayed in the dog friendly building but still felt like part of the resort. Enjoyed smores at the bond fire. Took advantage of Duck boat tours w/ our pups. Very quiet and great staff. We will be returning!

We stayed on two occasions for one night. We paid for a lake view pet friendly room. When we arrived for the first stay, we were moved to a parking lot view without notice. I had just been down at the office and they charged me additional for the pets and still did not tell me they changed our room. I had to request for the difference in room rates to be refunded. When we talked to the owner, she said she didn’t know why she moved us but would make it up to us on the next stay. All that was done was a note on our reservation that said “Do not move.” Otherwise the resort itself was fun and family friendly. It was nice to be able to leave the dogs in the room while we enjoyed the amenities.
