Chose this motel because of its price point and proximity to Wizard Quest. From past experiences with dog friendly hotels/motels, they tend to have old beat-up furniture and a slight musty smell. Not to mention in any hotel there are cleaning measures that get skipped altogether or half-assed. This was NOT the case here! The office was cozy and welcoming, the gentleman behind the desk was very pleasant (a little too chatty but that wasn't a problem for us). They had a brochure for a nearby boarding/doggy daycare and a dish of free doggy treats at the counter.
Our room - for being pet friendly - was very clean. One of the cleanest rooms I've been to, never mind the pet friendly aspect. It was small so it felt a little claustrophobic but overall very comfortable. Just outside down the corridor from our room was the grassy space for the dog, which had a legit doggy waste station with real doggy bags (we've found that a lot of places use cheap plastic bags which aren't always ideal, or don't have a waste station at all).
We paid $25 pet fee for the first night, and when we added on another night to our stay they did not charge us another pet fee, even though it says it's $25/pet/night.
