  Like a dream

  Everything was what we hoped for our nervous Old English Sheepdog: accommodating check-in, low-traffic part of the hotel, and a very quiet room.

  Staff was great. Room was clean. Very happy with our stay. Only caveat was the overall cleanliness of the hotel could have been better.

  Very nice place

  I thought it was really nice except when I first was checking in a staff at front desk gave me a hard time because my dog is a service dog and said he was not and started questioning me. I had a card, but looked at bill and still was not charged. Otherwise it was a beautiful spot and perfect for us and our dogs.

  This place was really nice! Lots of green grass around for Fido. Not close to downtown but otherwise very comfortable and pleasant.

  Nice dog walking area

  Dog treats at the check-in desk! Nice border walking area with bags and garbage can around hotel. Hotel is in a quiet part of town.

  Welcoming

  The hotel was clean, easy to get to, and incredibly welcoming for my dog. It was his (almost 2 year old Aussie) first time in a hotel, so it was hard to gauge what to expect. He was welcomed with some Milkbones, and clear expectations - which we appreciated. Property had enough grass for him to do his business and bags were available. Would definitely choose La Quinta again.

  La Quinta delivers

  Once again la Quinta delivered. Clean, comfortable and pleasant for people and pets. The only complaint is that the pet relief are is quite small and there is limited walking area around the motel.

  Great Hotel!

  We stayed down in the Canal Park area the first night of our stay in Duluth. That is a great location, but the hotel there was only half as nice as the La Quinta, but at twice the price. I realize you're paying for the location which is fine. But when we return we'll be staying at the La Quinta, a wonderful hotel, and our German Shepherd was right at home!

  Certainly not great

  But not awful. This hotel is tired and going downhill FAST. They, as a chain, were our go to hotel 5 years ago. Today, at least this one, was super disappointing. 2 small milk ones was the doggy treat. Yes, at least there was one. The room was dingy, the laminate peeling off the furniture, the rug worn out, the bathroom, well, let’s not go there. Now, they are on par with the Super 8’s and Motel 6’s. But higher priced.

  Excellent stay!

  We spent the night last night with our pug. He was given treats at check in. They also were kind enough to put us on the 1st floor for easy access to outside. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also a huge plus. Apollo enjoyed the mirror on the wall in our room.

  Our dog Lucy is welcomed with open arms. Great place to stay with a pet without breaking the bank. Clean rooms, good breakfast buffet and friendly, helpful staff. What more could you ask for?

  The hotel employees were all very friendly. Our room was clean, and there was a lot of grassy space to let our dog out to the bathroom. I would absolutely stay here again!

  The staff was very friendly! Our room was very nice and clean. Annie received complimentary dog biscuits - a great touch! The breakfast was really good. We were very pleased and will stay again!!!

  Nice Hotel; Big Rooms

  Nice and clean, rooms are large, grassy areas just outside hotel make it easy for the pets. Great hotel for the price. I’d stay here again for sure. Conveniently located near good restaurant options. And full hit breakfast is included with the room.

  The Duluth La Quinta Inn & Suites is clearly committed to a pet friendly atmosphere. More than just a great employee here & there, this facility has clearly implemented and enforced policies that make pets welcome. Example: The dog-walking area is obviously patrolled and cleaned on a regular basis and the bio-bags regularly re-stocked. Seemed like the majority of the guests were families with one or more four-legged family member. A great place to stay if you're in Duluth!

  Nice hotel, no pet fee

  Location is on a hill away from downtown and the fun at Lakewalk. Staff was friendly with my dog but didn't get a treat this time. We stayed there a few years ago and my dogs were greeted with treats and a warm welcome.

  Reasonably priced, didn't charge extra to bring your pet. It's a little ways from the Canal Park are but worth it. Also had plenty of grassy are for pets and disposable bags handy outside with trash cans.

  Clean room and nice pool

  The hotel, rooms, etc were all very clean. The room was pretty large for a basic room. The pool and hot tub were also nice. Nothing great but perfect for our 9 and 11 year old. The hot breakfast was the only thing that left a lot to be desired. Very few selections. Maybe they are still ramping up from COVID restrictions.

  We had a blast! My puppy and I got a room on the first floor. She was well greeted by staff and the nearby potty spot, well was nearby! She loved it and so did I!

  Great stay!

  Very clean and comfortable. Lots of potty areas outside and plenty of disposal areas. There were no issues and the staff were accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

  This hotel was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay in Duluth. The hotel was pet friendly, the bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and clean. Lots of green space around the hotel for walking the dogs.

  It would have been 5 bones but the beds are a little high. My poor beagle was having issues getting on the bed.

  Great Place To Stay With The Pups

  We stayed here mid July 2020 with our boxer mix. There was plenty of space to take her potty. It was nice to be a little outside of downtown. It was a nice place to relax after a busy day down by the lake!

  Clean, comfortable and convenient location!

  We had a very nice stay here for 6 nights! It was a short drive to great dog-friendly restaurants, parks and activities in the Duluth area. There is a nice area outside to walk and potty your dog and also to sit outside for breakfast, weather permitting. Very clean facilities and pet-friendly staff and guests! We'll stay at La Quinta again when travelling with our dog:)

  Hotel room was clean and updated. Breakfast was great and staff were very courteous. Dog station out the back of hotel and plenty of grass for business. Highly recommend.

  Welcoming to our dogs, waste bags strategically located outdoors with trash cans nearby. Very comfortable and spacious room, large bathroom, quiet. Helpful and pleasant staff, newer property. Will return!

  The rooms are new and clean. Beds are comfy. Hotel as a whole is super clean and nice. Very dog friendly. Our Bernese Mountain dog loved his stay and so did we!
