  Cutest ever

  Owner friendly as could be. Said the caboose has been in family for over 50 years! Neat little fenced area for dog to run around. Our only suggestion would be to have dog poop bags for owners of pets to pick up after. 🥰

  Good Location

  If I based my review off the first night it would be bad. We booked a king, we were told it was flooded but they had a double. Room was dated but cute. The issue? The floor was about the same level of softness as the bed. We asked the next morning if the king had been fixed. They said if we checked out and came back it would be. This room the bed was like a cloud! Knocking one bone off because even crated the dogs can’t be left although they said it was okay for breakfast but not in the evening. The night we arrived one of our dogs had gotten car sick and we really wanted to tuck him into his crate but we took him while we ate. For the price it’s hard to beat.

  Very dirty and poor management!

  Check-in is from 4-9pm...I arrived at 6pm. Door was locked. I knocked and a woman let me in saying her husband was supposed to be at the check-in desk but didn't show up. She reminded me that the hotel room door locks on the way out and to be sure to have my key with me because if I locked myself out and they weren't there to open the door that would be a "bummer."

  Room had urine stained carpet throughout and decor on the wall and front of counter broken. Floor trim in one spot was missing. Freezer was not usable...heavy ice...needs to be defrosted. I took pictures so that my pup and I won't be charged. I went to the front desk and told the gentleman my concerns and that my dog was not responsible for this damage. His response was that he knew about the carpet and needs to shampoo it. He did not offer a different room, refund or apology. Poor business attitude.

  Hidden Gem

  Great location, room was cozy and wonderful. There was a fenced in play area which was perfect for miniature schnauzers to run around in. Great for burning off energy after a day on the road.

  Great place to stay if you have dogs

  The motel was perfect for me and my two large dogs. There is even a fenced off play area which we all enjoyed. Room was clean and tidy.

  We liked it

  Cute, fairly spacious room. Many thanks to the management for letting us check in 2.5 hours early! Minus one bone rating for being right on the highway with no good place to walk the dog except on the motel grounds.

  Good value!

  Our room had everything we needed, including a small kitchen. The hotel is on a busy road, but it was easy to duck down a side street to give our dog her constitutional. Good dog friendly bbq joint within easy walking distance. This place is a good budget find and we would stay there again. 😊

  Couldn't stay. Stinky, nasty carpet, a layer of dust all over the window that wouldn't stay open, and gunk all over the old fridge. Creepy smelly carpet up the base of the bed.

  Loved the location

  Loved being close to great food, a fantastic health club & other conveniences while being only a short distance from the hustle & bustle of “downtown” Durango. I’ll stay there again!

  A disappointment

  We arrived to a very cold room. It took the heater 3 hours to warm it up. The room is dark even with the lights on. We could hear everything going on in the parking lot all night. The bed was comfortable and the owner very nice. We stayed here because they accept pets.

  Friendly owner

  Great to get away from the big box hotels. Very clean with a little grassy area in front for dogs or BBQs. You could tell the family was actively improving the property. We will be back on a second swing through town!

  Parking uphill, TV was very small, no bed side table. Hard to get in from the street and high cost for what they offer.

  Clean, eclectic place

  The place overall has a cute, eclectic charm. Staff was friendly and the room was very clean and had a comfortable bed. The dogs enjoyed sleeping by the fireplace and there was a grassy potty area for them. I worried about the noise since it’s off a busy road but it ended up being a quiet nights sleep. The only negative would be that parking is a bit tight there for travelers with larger vehicles.

  Rustic charm

  Cute old school motel for an overnight stop. The facility has a distinctly “70’s ski weekend” feel to it, and has good access to services. Lots of grassy area to walk/potty Fido and reasonable priced. The main downside I have it the motel is right next to the highway so lots of noise early in the morning.

  There should be a negative bone!

  Best thing: real coffee cups and glasses. Worst things, in no order: Forget checking in before 4pm, even 3:45pm! The WORST thing was NOISE from Main Street, a serious and very busy highway with 18-wheelers downshifting, motorcycles roaring, etc. Add someone next door practicing an electric bass at 9pm. The motel is NOT close to old town, and nothing worth noting is within walking distance. The physical place might be quaint except for the maintenance. Room decor is very dated, perhaps a flea-market design. Spend a bit more and get a better deal.

  Makes traveling so easy

  When you are driving cross country and not sure when you are going to stop, BringFido takes all the leg work out of calling around or stopping at multiple locations just to find a pet friendly spot. It’s also great when time is short to find a near by dog park in an unknown city.

  Nellie likes his car in front of his door. Smell is everything. Room had great amenities. Easy walk around corner to get to nice walk.

  Cute and quaint

  The staff was very friendly and there is an excellent grassy area that is enclosed for dog relief. The room had a microwave and refrigerator that worked well - not a given in mid-priced hotels. On the downside, the ac did not work very well against the heat partly because it blew straight at the bed which was less than 6 inches from the ac unit. We moved the bed to allow the air to flow better. Overall - it was a sweet little place that happily accepted our pooches.

  Great for pooches!

  Very accommodating management. It was a hot day in Durango and we were challenged to figure out what to do between checkout at 11 am and checkin at campground at 2pm with our pooch. We were allowed to stay until 1 pm late checkout, which solved our problem! Nice large room with kitchenette facility, a/c unit worked well, and bad was comfy. On the outskirts of town on a busy road, but really nice park 2 blocks away along the river for a nice quiet walk with pooch, shade and picnic tables. Overall, for travellers with dogs, just the ticket!

  Good Location For Dog Owners

  Family owned for 3 generations they’re very nice people. The rooms were a little old and outdated and the bed wasn’t great but the location was awesome. It’s very close to a beautiful river walk that my dog loved. Go to the bbq place just 3 min walking super casual and good and dog friendly. A little expensive for what you get
