Clean and very comfortable beds. So nice to have such a pleasant environment. Would highly recommend and would stay there again. Breakfast was the only complaint. Not much offered and did not look appealing.

Nice room with comfortable beds. Room for the dogs to take care of business which was free of other dogs waste. I will be passing through La Crosse again and know where I'll be staying.

This is an excellent hotel. It is very clean and welcoming. They truly are dog lovers here. Our Sugar is a rescue and a bit shy around new-to-her people, but Ellie and Heather were really great with her at check-in and checkout. They definitely spoiled her with treats too. The housekeeping staff (on the second floor where we stayed) really cares because the room was exceptionally clean. Kudos to the maintenance staff as well. No slow sinks here. Everything worked as it should. There is plenty of green space outside to walk and allow the dog to “go.” A pet waste station is located in the parking lot, which was convenient. We HIGHLY recommend this hotel and will be returning when we can. As you know, the success of any organization always boils down to the people involved. The Gundersen has a great team, and it really shows! Thank you so very, very much!

Booked a second day and this hotel is spotless. No doggie smell and the staff showed a love of dogs. Definitely would stay here again. Our dog was pampered.

A bit out of town (a mile) but worth the drive because the property is very welcoming and the suites are huge! Very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend.

Nice large room with a fridge and microwave. We were on the 4th floor right near the staircase so it was easy to get outside. There was a grassy area adjacent to the main entrance for our dog to run around. No dog poop bag station there but there was one about 200 feet away to the right of the main entrance.

The hotel is nice and clean, but that's about the only good thing. I would not say its the best pet friendly. All pets are put on the 2nd floor which is hard for outing. Nothing for picking up or disposing. The breakfast was to go till 10am we got down there at 9:15 and they were starting to clean up with nothing left but some bagels. We sat on the outer edge of the breakfast area with only 1 other couple back further. The guy said oh what a pretty dog you have. Then 10 minutes later a lady comes with a dog and has to walk super close not once but twice and the dogs react. Well 2 seconds later the lady from the front desk goes tells the guy to make us leave. To me this was not at all pet friendly.

Rooms are very clean and large. Breakfast and eating are are top notch. Very safe neighborhood for dog walking. We stay here as often as possible while traveling with our pups. Best dog stay in the USA!!

The rooms are big and comfortable, the towels are nice and thick. The personnel are very friendly. There is a lot of grass to walk your dog around. There was a room down the hall with a large group having fun, which was a bit loud and we could hear kids running in the hall upstairs. But it got quiet before midnight.

We felt right at home with our 54-lb lab mix, Gordon, this hotel:) The staff were happy to see him and we felt very welcomed. Lots of nice potty spots outside for dogs to go, too.

My family and I loved our stay at this very welcoming hotel. The rooms and all areas were very neat and clean. We had 2 St. Bernard's and a Rottweiler and they were very comfortable. There's lots of places to walk and let your dog sniff around. The free refreshments and breakfast was very convenient. It's all around a great place, plus no dog fee. Great hotel.

WE had a wonderful stay. This place was sooooo friendly and big dog welcoming. I have 2 mastiffs and often have trouble finding a place to stay that not only allows big dogs but also allows multiples. Rooms here are spacious and clean. Plenty of green space to walk. Dog bowls available at the front desk too. Reasonably priced and no extra pet fees. Thank you for being dog friendly. We will stay here every single time we return to La Crosse.

Arrived today and was met at the reception desk by very friendly staff. Front desk staff offered food and water bowls and also have new STUFFED TOYS for each pet! Front desk staff asks for your phone number in the event your dog is stressed/barking a lot while you’re away so they can contact you.
Our room was in between the elevator and stairwell, just as we requested. Very nice and large grassy area (not fenced in) in between the hotel and adjoining medical center for dogs to do their business. A smaller grassy area with benches and landscaping is on the other side of the property. A waste clean up station is on-site, too
All pet-friendly rooms are on the second and third floors, but there is elevator access.
There is a dog park near the Mississippi River at Houska Park (close to hotel), but use the park area that is on the FAR side of the park - not the closest one. The closest one is all dirt and pet owners weren’t watching their dogs. One dog there had horrible diarrhea 🤮. The dog park on the FAR side, which is separately fenced from the dirt dog park, is grassy with trees and far fewer dogs to contend with.
I haven’t even checked out, but I’ve already booked another stay at this hotel because of how warmly pets are welcomed and the nicely updated interior.
