The good. The hotel is right off the interstate but isn't extremely noisy. There are some grassy areas for pets. The bad (oh so many things). The giant billboard on the exit advertises free breakfast, but there is no free breakfast. There was a large dead beetle/roach in our bathroom. The hotel has seen better days: the wallpaper in the hallway was peeling, the grout in the bathroom had mold and mildew, the bathroom fixtures were rusty.
None of these things are a deal breaker for me, assuming the price matches. I've stayed in way nicer, way less expensive pet-friendly hotels. It's a hotel price for a cheap motel feel. The room had an awful smell (a weird stuffy smell). Customer service was terrible. We tried to call/reach the front desk roughly 4-5 times before we actually got a hold of someone. This was not late at night or early in the morning.

Convenient location right off the freeway. Plenty of grass to walk dogs. Room had linoleum floor and was quiet. The motel itself is outdated with an odd layout. Looked like maybe there was some remodeling happening.

We needed a place to get a good night sleep and this was perfect. Didn't need more. Plenty of grass across the parking lot. Fine walking.
