The four-story Ramada by Wyndham Oceanside is across the street from Ocean's 11 Casino less than a mile from the Oceanside Harbor Pier and provides easy access off I-5. Lego Land is six miles away. For the recreationally inclined there is health club nearby to which the inn offers passes. Every morning guests can enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast. The hotel also offers ice/vending machines 24-hour front desk free parking business services laundry/valet services and meeting facilities. Small pets are allowed in some rooms. Each room has air-conditioning AM/FM clock radio coffeemaker hairdryer modem lines and cable television. Toiletries are available at the front desk.     We’ll never stay here again. After check in, which took a ridiculously long time because of all the paperwork that had to be signed, we were assigned a room on the 4th floor, which is unusual since most hotels put guests with dogs on the 1st floor. Day 2 as we were heading to the elevator, a woman yelled across the parking lot asking if our dog was registered to our room, we said yes. She mumbled something and walked into the office.

    Five minutes later she knocked on our door and accused us of sneaking our dog in. I told her that wasn’t true, and that my husband had signed 2 pieces of paper confirming we DID have a dog. She wouldn’t listen to anything we told her, kept going on about how she watched the video of my husband checking in and he never mentioned a dog. I reminded her that she was holding paperwork with his signature stating we had booked thru BringFido. She said she was part owner, and that she’d never heard of BringFido so she didn’t know what that was.

    She accused my husband of pointing towards our car and telling the clerk that it was just his wife in the car, no pet. He told her that was not true, that he never pointed to the car and that he signed papers stating he had a pet. She went on and on about how she was going to have to seal the room since a dog had been in there, that we should have been in a room without carpet, that the room would be “sealed” and unusable for 3 days and that they would NEVER put someone with a dog on the 4th floor.

    She then mentioned that it would be an additional $22.50 per day for our dog, my husband said that’s fine and she left. The next morning before we checked out, I went to get ice and 2 doors down from us was a nice little pile of dog poop outside the door along with a small doggie water bowl, so apparently she lied when she said they NEVER put guests with animals on the 4th floor, because we weren’t the only ones. She was very rude and accusatory. That alone is enough to never stay there again, not to mention the room smelled, no hot water from the faucet on the vanity, loose floor tiles against the tub and overall dumpy.

    Disappointed

    Wow. I've stayed here twice and should have known better after the first experience. The second one was even worse. Both times the front desk was EXTREMELY slow checking me in. 15+ minutes just to get into the room because the manager was training the girl the first stay (I get it) and the employees were just extremely slow the second stay. Both times I paid an extra $22.50 per pet per night for my dog. Although he is a service animal, I typically just pay the pet fee to avoid being hassled and harassed by those who do not believe he is a psychiatric service dog.

    When I went to check out after the second stay, the manager lady went to inspect the room and came back like "Oh my god there's so much dog hair in hair! Come in here and look!!!" Well yeah. It's the middle of summer in a hotel by the beach and he's a German Shepherd. I figure $45 pet fee is enough to cover the extra three strokes it takes to vacuum up the hair. But anyways this manager lady had me standing in the room waiting for 20+ minutes while she harassed housekeeping and flagged someone down to sand the door for some reason. She made it seem like it was my fault housekeeping didn't come in the second day and vacuum but I wasn't even in the room at all until that night - we went to Barstow.

    I have the whole checkout exchange on video and the manager said I was "good" and called into the front desk to have them release my deposit hold. Then today I see that they have charged me fully for the entire $200 deposit. Lmfao. Right. Immediately disputed with USAA. I will NEVER stay here again and will be leaving 1 star reviews on every platform I can because the dishonesty and incompetence is frankly disgusting. I've stayed at $30 motels in Wyoming with better customer service skills than this dump. STAY AWAY DO NOT BOOK!

    Not a good location

    May be clean and dog friendly but definitely not in a location that I would feel safe while walking my dog. Some sketchy incidences happening in the parking lot as we drove up. Had been in car over 4 hours and needed to use restroom and there is not a restroom in the lobby! Nor did they give me any suggestions of another restroom. We cancelled and luckily found another hotel - more expensive but much better and they did try and give us a deal since they knew we were stuck.

    Better than average...

    I stayed here for 3nights. Only $5 per dog. I have 2 big dogs and they were welcome. Nice walk to the beach. Although the neighborhood wasn’t that great, it’s in a good location. Decent breakfast and comfortable accommodations.
