It was a great location, very clean and seemed to be recently renovated. Fair warning we went for a late night walk and returned to the motel where our key card would not work. We called all the available numbers and there was no answer. The front desk closes at night and there are no phones in the rooms- as we asked a neighbor to call for us. It took about 45 mins before we were able to get back into the room which had all of our belongings including car keys and wallets. That is the sole reason for my 3/5 rating. I understand things happen but it was extremely stressful. The motel is pet friendly which is great but you will most likely need to visit one of the parks near by if you need to take your pet out to the bathroom. Ice machine does not work so we visited the gas station down the street for our cooler. The room doesn't include a fridge or microwave.

The owner is making renovations (room by room) and the renovated rooms are no carpet (better for fido.) We were in an older room which was functional but not well maintained. The hotel seems best suited to migrant construction workers and beach people with low standards. The dog was no problem and nearby beaches are dog friendly, but the whole experience was poor. Choose another place if you want to enjoy Pismo Beach.
