    The 98 Hotel is an historic hotel in the heart of beautiful downtown Whitehorse, Yukon. The Hotel was completely refurbished in 2019. The result is brilliant—a brand new look that recollects the look and feel of an old-time hotel. Visiting The 98 Hotel feels like stepping back into the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898 (which is what the Hotel’s name refers to). The 98 Hotel is pet friendly and wheelchair accessible. All rooms are on the ground floor. There are no stairs or elevators to deal with. There is free parking in front of the building and free wifi available to all guests.

      Not great for pets

      The staff was very kind and friendly, but this isn’t ideal for pets. The rooms are in the back of a bar and you can only use the main entrance so your pet runs the risk of stepping on broken glass from bottles in the parking lot. There isn’t really anywhere to walk your pet (after you get through the parking lot of glass). The rooms are not air conditioned so if you have a furrier dog they are going to be miserable. They don’t charge a pet fee which is nice, but doesn’t offset the comfort of yourself and pet. Also, not super clean.
