        Great stay with my pup!

This hotel was perfect for my pup. We used the walking trail in the back of the hotel every day for some quick walks. They even have three lit designated pet relief areas and waste bags, which was perfect when I ran out of my own. The hotel staff were really friendly and never made me feel like my pet did not need to be there. We ended up having to stay an extra night due to the unexpected weather and they were very accommodating. I would stay here again.

        Best Dog Walk Ever

This is a great hotel for dogs. They have an entire wooded area with several paths just for dogs. It is decorated with birdhouses and wood sculptures so we humans can enjoy it, too. The rooms are clean, the staff is kind to dogs and give them treats. The “dog” rooms are on the first floor, close to everything. This is an award-winning hotel. The flowers (one of the owners is a master gardener) are lovely and the hotel is beautifully decorated. We stay there every year before Christmas to enjoy the Christmas decorations and sit in front of the big fire—with our dogs—and drink hot cocoa in the lobby. I truly hate hotels

        Holiday Inn Asheville Biltmore East

This hotel was wonderful. You feel like you are in a 5* ski lodge.
I booked through BringFido so I did not have the usual, "I hope this check in goes well" feeling. We were traveling with 2 dogs, one 40 pounds and one 65 pounds. If you want to leave the dogs in your room while you go out they must be left in kennels. We always travel with portable soft kennels so that was no problem. I think I remember reading on the pet agreement that they offer them at the hotel for a modest fee. The agreement also stated that if they received two phone calls concerning barking disturbance that they can charge your credit card up to $250. You will have to read that more closely for the details. I don't remember if that was only if a guest left due to barking or just two phone complaints. I thought this was fair due to the atmosphere of this upscale hotel. Pre training your dog to feel comfortable while being left in a soft kennel for a short while is good idea all around. They have a beautiful hiking trail right there on the grounds. Our room was really really nice!! Way more upscale compared to a La Quinta. The hotel itself also had a bar and restaurant. The charge for the dogswas $45 total added to the bill, not $45 per dog.

Amazing Place To Stay With Your Pup

My 65 pound boxer and I stayed here while we visited the Asheville area and loved the experience. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and welcoming to my very large pup. When we checked in, they gave us a floor on the first floor so that we would have to take the elevator and a pup magnet for the door so the staff knew you had a furry baby in the room with you. I noticed that most the rooms on the first floor had these pup magnets so there were plenty of other families staying there with their furry babies. The room was huge and had an area that had linoleum tile where I pup my pups water and food. The staff also told me there was a hiking path (about a quarter mile) for us to walk our pups..it was so nice...the ground has a path with wood chips so your pup won’t get muddy even if it rains. There’s also a fire hydrant, dog house, and swing along the path. I can’t believe the hotel put so much effort into creating a welcoming space for their furry guests. There’s also a small area out front that’s lite up really well in case your pup has to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. All and all, we were so pleased with the hotel and would recommend it to anyone passing through that area.

        Fantastic hotel, very dog friendly

Updated and super clean family-friendly, & dog-friendly hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at just how nice it was, and how great the staff is. Rooms are comfortable, clean and contemporary. Our daughter and dog loved the nature trail behind the hotel.

Great Place to Stay with a Pooch

We so much enjoyed our stay in this hotel with our 95 pound dog. Our room was clean, comfortable, and appeared to have been very recently remodeled. We loved the day bed/sofa where we could watch tv and cuddle with our dog. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We got takeout to enjoy in our room one night from the hotel's restaurant and the food was very good. This hotel has a dog walking trail that is perfect for a quick morning or evening walk with the dog. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with or without a dog.

        This Hotel accepts pets

This hotel accepts pets but only on the first floor in a pet-friendly room.

        No longer accepts pets!

We have stayed at this Holiday Inn several times in the past and would agree that they deserve a high rating.....yet when we called to make reservations in January 2017, we were told they have changed their policy any no longer accept pets!,

        EXCELLENCE!

I am so pleased, and pleasantly surprised! The grounds are gorgeous, with a walking trail just for my two fur babies (be advised, no late night walks, BEARS live in Asheville) the rooms are clean, well attended, the staff is friendly and helpful (Toby took my reservation and Thomas checked us in). I have felt cared for and at home here, and at an extremely reasonable price. We stayed an extra day! We are close to Biltmore, and there is also a Waffle House at the bottom of the hill. I provide this review with a lifetime of Hospitality and Service experience. We have enjoyed an excellent stay here!

        Would Def Stay Again!

The lady working the front desk went out of her way to ensure that not only did we get a room immediately (we were actually an hour early), but we got an even better room than we originally booked, on New Year's Eve too! It was beautiful, quiet, and the friendliest hotel we have ever visited. Our dog was in heaven and we cannot wait to go back! Thank you for finding this wonderful hotel...

Best Place to Stay with Pets in Asheville, NC

Wow, this property really is pet friendly, and I know--I have traveled from west to east and up north to the south with my pets and this location provided the nicest staff and the most comfortable rooms. I have stayed in other hotels before that claimed to be "pet friendly." But, in actuality, I and my pets were usually banished to special "wing" of the hotel and some rooms smelled worse than the average public dog kennel. Not this hotel, though. It was very well-maintained and pet owners are actually assigned rooms amongst the other guests, whether traveling with pets or not. The staff at the front desk are very personable and helpful and the housekeeping staff do a terrific job keeping everything clean. I stayed during Christmas and the management made sure that all the guests would have necessary items on Christmas Day as the housekeeping staff would be minimal. They sent out a notice about the staff spending time with their families for the holiday, so each room was given a care package with extra towels, shampoo, soap, etc. in advance so no guest would go without. That tells me that this hotel cares about meeting the needs of its guests and instead of being reactive, there is someone on the staff that understands the importance of being proactive. I highly recommend this property to anyone needing a place to stay with pets. This hotel made a positive impression on me and I will most definitely return again in the future. That was a nice surprise to my wallet! What a great stay and wonderful visit to the Asheville, NC area.

        PERFECT!!!!!!!

This place was conveniently located just off I 40 and immaculate. We traveled from RI to Calif and back and this was clearly the nicest place we have stayed. The rooms were large, beds comfortable, breakfast was delicious and appetizing and it was very dog friendly. There was a lovely walking trail for dogs and a safe area to walk them. Close to downtown and attractions. In warm weather, dogs are permitted on the patio of the restaurant. Stay here ????

Awesome Hotel, Will be my go to hotel in the area

I had a bad experience at another lodging & was traveling with my dog. I called and asked about their check in time as it was hot & I didn't want to sit around in my car somewhere with my 13 year old dog. They had a room available & said to come right over (it was 11 AM). The room was great. The entire staff from the front desk to the housekeeping staff were all very friendly, making eye contact and saying hello. The breakfast was awesome, good restaurant and food. They more than accept pets, they welcome them. The pet trail is beautiful! The grounds are lovely & clean - no poop everywhere. Lots of dog owners staying there. Loved that it is so close to Biltmore & right at an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway! Loved the decor of the place - lodge style - perfect for the location. Will stay again.

Why can't there be more places like this?

People who don't travel with pets would rate this hotel a 3.5. However, those of us who DO travel with our pets, would rate this hotel 5 stars! They don't make you feel like, just because you have your pet, you're some sort mutant that they are making some sort of very special exception for.
We felt comfortable and welcomed. The rooms were clean and nice and the new dog trail makes us feel like they went out of their way to make their hotel pet-friendly.
This will be the only hotel we stay at in Asheville when we travel with our dog. Oh! And they even allow bigger dogs! We have a lab-mix that is 57 lbs and there was no issue with is weight. Weight shouldn't matter anyway because he was more well-behaved than most of the ankle-biters that were staying there. STAY HERE!

        Best pet friendly hotel ever!

Best customer service experience from desk staff to housekeeping! Best part is how pet friendly they are! We felt very welcome with our two fur babies! Very reasonable pet fee, and we were allowed to have both pups...one big, one small!! Highly recommend!

Great for dogs and people !

We always travel with our two dogs (45 & 55 lbs.) and this is one of the best pet-friendly hotels that we have stayed in. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was great in all ways. Wish all hotels were like the Holiday Inn in Asheville. Thanks for being there!

Glad to Have a Pet-Friendly Hotel

Booked the hotel over the phone and it was a breeze. When we arrived, we were placed in a part of the hotel with other dog owners, but it did not smell bad at all. Aside from certain dogs left barking in their room, it was no issue as that is a price we pay to have this luxury of our pets staying with us. The hotel is a little older, but the linens, accomodations, furniture, and appliances are new. Very comfortable and clean. Would definitely book here again.

There is an additional caveat I noticed on the Pet Form: That if you pay for your stay in cash, they will charge you a $75 refundable pet fee. (I think I read that right...please feel free to confirm or deny).

Overall, would definitely come back here.

        Enjoyed our stay

We have a large chocolate lab and found the hotel to ber very nice and enjoyed our stay. It's hard to find a hotel that will take dogs over 50 lbs. He enjoyed his stay as well. The only thing was other dog owners didn't clean up after their dogs; otherwise we would stay again.

        I would visit again

        Hi,
I'm an 18 lb Cava-Poo and recently spent 3 nights at your hotel. I really liked my room on the FIRST floor; much easier to get outside and I didn't have to upset people in an elevator. The room was so clean I couldn't find a good scent of any of my predecessors (Mom & Dad were thrilled)...me, not so much. They also carried on and on about the abundant supply of doodoo bags. We brought plenty with but they seemed to enjoy the "convenience" of the provided supply. The hotel was also very close to two dog parks which gave us all room to stretch and run. We will come back again on our next visit to the Biltmore. Thank you for asking for my opinion...I always have one.

        Could Not Have Been Better~

I could not recommend the Holiday Inn more highly! Aside from the wonderful human accommodations, they were exceptionally wonderful in the manner in which they welcomed our dogs. They dogs were unexpectedly disruptive when we were out of the room, however the staff were wonderful and did everything they could to be as understanding as possible with the situation. (THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your kindness and understanding!).

        comfortable stay

I agree with the other submissions in that this is a centrally located hotel that is clean, provides well kept area for dogs to relieve themselves and bags to clean up. Staff were both friendly and provided a room near an exit as requested. Would definitely stay again. Only concern is the air conditioner unit is loud and only marginal in its production of cool air.

        Enjoyable Vacation Spot

This was our very first trip with our two pooches, so we didn't know how it would work out. We were so pleased with the reception they got at the Holiday Inn Biltmore East in Asheville. They were welcomed and given a nice treat by the kind lady at the reception desk. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The quiet helped the dogs from being anxious. We'd definitely go back to stay and see beautiful Asheville!

        Perfect

We stayed after 3 days of backpacking with our dog. Check in was easy- I made reservations on line. The $20 pet fee was worth it. The pet area was manicured and had bags for the poop. The room was huge with a king bed (soft & luxurious sheets)and couch. The bathroom was modern with a high dryer, great water flow and shampoo from Bath & Body. No odor in the room, which was very clean. Holiday Inn is now at the top of my list of places to stay with my 45lb dog.

        Holiday Inn Asheville Biltmore East

This Holiday Inn made traveling with a very large dog a breeze. The hotel's location is convenient to all Asheville has to offer. It was clean and had no "smells". Easy to walk your dog and the staff was very friendly and efficent. I would definitely stay here again. I guess my only complaint would be that the carpet and decor is getting worn and dated.

        Above and Beyond

This was a great hotel, not just for the pets but for their owners also. It was very clean, updated, great shower and service. The area for walking the dogs was ample, had pick-up bags available and in a pretty setting.

        Beyond Our Expectaions

OMG! We were blown away by this hotel. It is everything the other reviewers said it was. We brought along our 84lbs dog and he made to feel as welcomed as we were. The staff are VERY friendly and approachable, very willing to help and offer local knowledge. The room was fantastic! VERY clean and DIDN"T smell of other peoples pets. The furnishings were well maintained and not chewed on or destroyed by other pets. It was a room amongst other guests, we were not set aside to the back of the hotel away from other non pet owning guests. You are able to leave your dog in the room as long as you leave your cell number and agree that any costs to appease a complaining guest(s) are yours. Fair enough we thought. The hotel itself is close to town and the Blue Ridge Parkway which offers many walking paths, all dog friendly. The town, Asheville, is also VERY pet friendly.(FYI Biltmore Estate, the grounds, is also pet friendly.Kennels available on site as well) All the more reason to bring along your furry child. We were only charged $10/night for our dog. We can't say enough good things about this hotel and its staff, and we will be recommending it everyone with or with out traveling pets. We will be going back.

        Great Pet Friendly Hotel!

This hotel is great. The hotel has pet walking area, treats for your pet at the front desk, ideal location only 10 minutes from downtown asheville and the Biltmore estate. The staff was very friendly and gave special attention to my dog, "Chancey." This hotel is truly pet friendly. I would recommend it and will be returning.

        Glad we stayed there...

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 dogs (45 lbs. and 60 lbs.), and we had no complaints. The desk clerk told me that they had had as many as 6 dogs in one room before. The hotel charged us one $25 pet fee for the entire stay, although their policy had said $20/night for both dogs together. They made us sign something saying that we would not leave the dogs in the room unattended, but I had advised them during 2 telephone calls prior to checking in that I would not be able to honor that, and they seemed fine with it. I'm pretty sure most everyone on the first floor, the pet-friendly floor, was doing the same thing, because most doors had a Do Not Disturb sign on it during the day. There were lots of other doggies staying there when we were there. There are pet treats at the front desk, and there are 3 dog-walking areas, quite small but adequate, and they all have dispensers of plastic, disposable mitts for picking up after the pets. The hotel also had us leave our cell phone number at the front desk in case the dogs caused any disturbances during the day. We were advised that if other patrons complained of a disturbance and if they were unable to reach us to pick the dogs up to abate the disturbance, then we would be responsible for whatever reimbursement they had to give the complaining patron. I thought this was fair. All-in-all, we had no problems, and we really liked the hotel to boot. It has a pool, arcade games, coffee and lemonade in the lobby, USA Today delivered to the room every morning, recycling receptacles, large up-to-date rooms/bathrooms, and beautiful mountain views. And it's only a very short drive to downtown Asheville. I would definitely stay there again.
