Asheville Drum Circle

Bring your pup to this quintessential Asheville event and enjoy the camaraderie that abounds in Pritchard Park on Friday nights in the warm-weather months. Whether you want to watch, dance, or drum, you will find yourself in good company, surrounded by people of all ages, locals and visitors. The drummers usually begin showing up between 5:00 and 6:00 pm and the crowd continues to build until the drum circle draws to a close at 10:00 pm. Just keep Fido on a leash at all times and make sure he is comfortable in crowds and around drum noises.

Montford Park Players

Enjoy the works of Shakespeare in the company of your furry best friend at the Hazel Robinson Ampitheatre. The Montford Park Players is North Carolina's longest-running Shakespeare Festival, free for the public to enjoy. Throughout the summer, dogs are welcome to join humans for the performances. In the winter, performances are held at the Asheville Masonic Temple where dogs are not permitted.

Ariel Gallery

Head to downtown Asheville with your furry best friend and visit Ariel Gallery--an artist-owned and operated fine craft gallery. At the gallery you will find ceramics, fiber and glass crafts, jewelry, metal art, and wood crafts. Since the gallery is run by artists, you and Fido will have a chance to meet at least one of the gallery's artists when you visit.
