BonPaul + Sharky's Hostel

Dogs of any size are welcome in the cottage at Sharky's Hostel for an extra $12 per dog, per night. Please let the host know that you'll be bringing a dog when making your reservation. You can pay the additional fee when you arrive.

Lake Powhatan Campground

The Dog Park features a large fenced-in area made for exercising and socializing your pooch! It is a one acre lot with wood chips, fresh water, and dog waste bags. No separate areas for small and large dogs. There is a great trail system, picnic facilities, and wonderful access to the river for doggy swimming as well!

Biltmore Estate

The Biltmore Estate is pet friendly! Dogs are allowed to explore the extensive grounds and roam through the more than 250 acres of landscaped gardens. Fido is also welcome to join the humans at several restaurants with outdoor seating in Antler Hill Village.

Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar

Historic Gray Line Asheville Trolley Tours

Dogs up to 25 lbs are welcome for no additional fee on Historic Gray Line Trolley Tours. Dogs must have up to date vaccinations and tags.

Montford Historic District

With its architectural beauty and significance, the Montford Historic District is a perfect place to stroll with your furry best friend as you enjoy the beauty of this neighborhood. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this community has more than 600 buildings, most of which were built between 1890 and 1920. As you wander, you will see a variety of architectural styles and influences including Victorian, Queen Anne, Arts and Crafts, Neoclassical, and Colonial Revival. Keep Fido on a leash while you walk and make sure to clean up after him. All homes are private residences and not open to the public.

Companion Dog Training School has been serving the Asheville area’s dog training needs since 1982. They offer puppy, beginner and competition level obedience classes along with Rally classes in their fully matted 5,000 square foot indoor facility. They also have beginner through competition level agility classes on their 100 X 110 foot, fully fenced and lighted agility field equipped with regulation agility equipment. Companion Dog Training School is located at 191 Lyman Street in the middle of the River Art's District.
