Camellia Cottage Bed & Breakfast

Camellia Cottage Bed & Breakfast welcomes two pets of any size for an additional fee of $15 per pet, per night. All rooms are pet friendly. A cell phone number must be provided if pets are left unattended in rooms.

Carolina Beach Oceanfront Condo

Pets are allowed with prior approval from the homeowner only. Please inquire for information on pet fee and other restrictions.

William Davies Park

William Davies Park provides plenty of space for your pup to run off leash and features separate areas for small and large dogs, seating areas, and trees for shade. The park has two sides to it. One side is for small dogs from 20lbs on down, and the other is for big dogs fro 20lbs on up. Nice fenced in area plenty of water, running room, and toys. The parents also have a place to sit and watch their fur-children run wild. There plenty of trees around for some nice shade.

Freeman Park

Freeman Park on Carolina Beach welcomes dogs between October 1 to March 31. Owners must carry a minimum of two suitable plastic or paper waste containers until it can be disposed of in an appropriate receptacle. The bags must be produced and shown upon request.

Biltmore Estate

The Biltmore Estate is pet friendly! Dogs are allowed to explore the extensive grounds and roam through the more than 250 acres of landscaped gardens. Fido is also welcome to join the humans at several restaurants with outdoor seating in Antler Hill Village.

Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar

Whether you are a bibliophile, oenophile, or cynophile, you’ll appreciate Battery Park Book Exchange’s vast selection of books and wines in Downtown Asheville’s Grove Arcade. Browse their 22,000 new and used books for sale with your dog in tow. History buffs will love perusing all of the regional and Civil War history books, which is Battery Park’s specialty. If you’re not into history, there are thousands of novels and other fiction titles to choose from. After purchasing your new favorite, head to the Champagne bar and order a glass of wine, a pint of beer, or an espresso to imbibe while sitting on one of the comfy couches or chairs. Pair your drink with a cheese and sausage plate, smoked trout dip, or dessert to nibble on while you read. Don’t worry, Fido won’t feel left out. Dogs eat and drink for free at Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar! This is a must-visit spot, whether you spend an hour or the afternoon sipping, shopping and reading with your pet.

Historic Gray Line Asheville Trolley Tours

Dogs up to 25 lbs are welcome for no additional fee on Historic Gray Line Trolley Tours. Dogs must have up to date vaccinations and tags.

U.S. National Whitewater Center

The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC), a non-profit outdoor center situated on 400 acres of woodlands along the Catawba River, is dedicated to promoting the active, outdoor lifestyle. Alongside mountain biking and running trails, a climbing center, zip-lines, flatwater kayaking, high rope courses, and a canopy tour, the facility's most unique feature is a multiple-channel, customized whitewater river for rafting and paddling enthusiasts of all abilities. The USNWC is proud to be a U.S. Olympic Training Site that provides outdoor recreation for families, outdoor enthusiasts of all ages, casual observers and Olympic-caliber athletes. Dogs are allowed on the grounds, outdoor restaurant, hiking trails (on-leash), kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards, but cannot join you on the zip line, ropes course, or whitewater rafts. Dogs are also welcome at special events like the Thursday River Jam with live music, Olympic trials, and family camping weekends.

Outer Banks SPCA/Dare County Animal Shelter

The Outer Banks S.P.C.A. (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt corporation which staffs and manages the Dare County Animal Shelter. The Outer Banks S.P.C.A. provides a loving environment and temporary housing for lost, stray, or unwanted domestic animals in Dare County. They have wonderful pets who need new, forever homes and would love to have you visit with them to meet them.
