Woof Wednesday at Whistle Hop Brewing Company The luckiest of pups get to go on the caboose- especially on Wednesdays! Go to Whistle Stop Brewing Company every Wednesday evening. Asheville’s first food truck for dogs, Mel-Mel's MAMA FOOD, will be onsite. Mel-Mel’s delicious doggy dinners are made from the freshest meats, oats, and veggies which your pup will love. LoveHendo Saturdays Shop Local Saturdays to provide open-air activity on Main Street the second Saturday of each month. Main Street will be closed to vehicles all day from 2nd Avenue to 6th Avenue. The cross streets will remain open to traverse to the unique avenue businesses and the abundant downtown parking available just a short walk from Main Street. The spaces on Main immediately in front of the Historic Henderson County Courthouse are reserved for handicap parking. Speedway Christmas Speedway Christmas is a spectacular drive-through light show featuring more than 4 million lights over a four-mile course, with hundreds of creative displays and lights synchronized to Christmas-themed music. Open rain or shine. Heavier traffic is expected on Friday and Saturday nights. If your schedule allows, consider finding an alternate night to attend. For the best experience, plan to arrive early.
