Rock & Roll Truth Music Fest to benefit Blue Ridge Humane Society BringFido to this fun event that benefits the Blue Ridge Humane Society! Monetary proceeds AND $1 from every pint of Bold Rock’s Carolina Apple and their current seasonal cider sold at the festival will go to benefit BRHS. BRHS representatives will accept donations and have pet adoption information on site. Also Bold Rock's "Bold Bites" food truck on site as always! Plus, an all day line up of some of the hardest working bands in WNC, including a special reunion performance from area favorite EUPHORIA! Band performances will be on the outdoor stage at Bold Rock Hard Cider Mills River. Alternate performance area will be announced in case of inclement weather. Every first Friday each month, you are welcome to come meet the adoptables. Wagbar is a hangout for dogs and beer drinkers with an off-leash dog park with a modern walk up bar. During the week of April 11-18th hit the trails that have been made possible by Conserving Carolina with your favorite two- or four-legged friend and complete additional challenges for prizes from BRHS and Conserving Carolina! Hike options will include Bearwallow Mountain, The Oklawaha Greenway, and The Park at Flat Rock. Complete one or all of the hikes and walks with your furry friend. Proceeds support Conserving Carolina and the programs of Blue Ridge Humane Society that provide new homes for pets in need, support services for local pets and their owners, and more! Cider, Wine & Dine Weekend The Cider, Wine & Dine Weekend features Henderson County wineries and cideries partnering together to create a signature event. It will be an action-packed weekend filled with artisan hard cider, award-winning wines, a variety of food, educational programs, live music, facility tours and more. The event will allow people to spread out and follow CDC and state-mandated guidelines for cleaning, social distancing and limiting crowd size. Please note that most of the participating venues are dog friendly but it's best to call ahead to confirm. Many events are free. Proceeds from cards sold this day are donated directly to BRHS. Cards for HVL Causes are unique and thoughtful handmade greeting cards covering a wide range of occasions from Holidays, Thank You, Love and Friendship, Thinking of You, Birthday, Sympathy, and more. In addition, the limited edition BRHS Mother’s Day card will be available for purchase to honor the mothers and the people who show mom-like love. Arbor Day Celebration at the Park BringFido for a walk in the park and watch the local Boy Scouts help with the tree planting. Henderson County Forest Ranger Kristen Kelly will be on hand and the Friends of the Park at Flat Rock will have an information booth. Trees will be provided by Carolina Ace Hardware and Raymond’s Garden Center. The Arbor Day Celebration event will honor the entire community of Flat Rock and also celebrate The Park at Flat Rock’s role in providing green space for generations to come. Jump Off Rock Half Marathon & 10k An endurance running event like none other, the Inaugural Jump Off Rock Half Marathon presented by Hunter Subaru, will be one of the fastest half marathon races in the south and will run “downhill to downtown.” The point-to-point, half marathon begins at Jump off Rock, a national landmark and the Town of Laurel Park’s highest peak, and finishes in the heart of downtown Hendersonville on Main Street. This gently downhill and scenic 13.1 mile course is not only fast, it also has breathtaking views. 10k runners will start their race at the base of the Town of Laurel Park. They will join in on the half marathon route at about the half-way point with half marathoners. The 10k route is paved surfaces and moderately flat with a couple gentle rollers. The 10k runners will run on historic city streets, around the Hendersonville’s Osceola Lake and back to downtown Hendersonville. Stroller and dog friendly. Both races will finish at the same location in Historic Downtown Hendersonville on Main Street. Virtual race options available. See Details

LoveHendo Saturdays Shop Local Saturdays to provide open-air activity on Main Street the second Saturday of each month. Main Street will be closed to vehicles all day from 2nd Avenue to 6th Avenue. The cross streets will remain open to traverse to the unique avenue businesses and the abundant downtown parking available just a short walk from Main Street. The spaces on Main immediately in front of the Historic Henderson County Courthouse are reserved for handicap parking. Bullington Gardens Fairy Trail BringFido, on a leash, to experience Bullington Gardens' Fairy Trail! A wonderful, imagination filled trail with "fairy houses" and whimsical landscapes along the way. Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5k at Oskar Blues Brewery The Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5k, presented by Hunter Subaru, celebrates the season of hops and malts with a beautiful run through the farmland and light rolling hills of Brevard. Grab your lederhosen and lace up your running shoes for this great run with picturesque views of the Western North Carolina mountains. Festive costumes encouraged, but not required! Following the race, runners will toast to their achievement with an Oskar Blues beer for those 21+.
