Pet Friendly Jump Off Rock Half Marathon & 10k
Jump Off Rock Half Marathon & 10k Join the scenic Jump off Rock half marathon starting at Laurel Park's highest peak, winding through neighborhoods and Lake Osceola, ending on Main Street in Hendersonville, NC. Water stations with Gatorade, water and bars are available along the route, and spectators can bring their furry friends, although dogs can't participate for safety reasons. See Details
Pet Friendly National Dog Mom Day Festival
National Dog Mom Day Festival Celebrate National Dog Mom Day with activities like Doggie & Me Mini Photo Sessions, a floral bouquet making station, and a pup-up market with 25+ local vendors. Pre-registration is recommended, with proceeds from sessions and bouquet making donated to Hope Animal Rescue. See Details
Carolina Bark Fest Carolina Bark Fest is a dog-focused event highlighting local businesses offering products and services designed to improve the quality of life of furry friends. Dogs should be well behaved, comfortable around other dogs & people, and must remain leashed while on the property. See Details
Concerts on the Creek Bring Fido and the family out for live music and dancing along the creek with beautiful mountain views. Two or three bands will play each night and there will be drinks and food trucks on site. Remember to keep your pup leashed during the event and don't forget a chair or blanket! See Details
Canine Allergies Acupressure Class Does your dog itch relentlessly? Does he sneeze often? It could be seasonal allergies, and acupressure may help! Bring your four-legged best friend to learn beneficial points and where they are located in a slow-guided class taught by a certified practitioner. Be sure to bring a towel, yoga mat or dog bed to sit on with your pup and register in advance as space is limited. See Details
Paws & Ponds Bring Fido along for a walk through the outdoor pond gallery and maybe even a dip in the water! There will be food, drinks, and an on site pet adoption fair. Cans of pet food are requested as a donation. Remember to keep your pup leashed at all times. See Details
WNC JeepFest All Jeep models are invited to this event, which will feature food vendors, Jeep-related vendors, a Show and Shine on Saturday, and guided rides to surrounding countryside areas throughout the weekend. See Details
Bark & Bolt The 5K course is a scenic, out and back route that follows the Oklawaha Greenway. There are some moderate hills but the majority of the course is flat. The 1-mile race also follows the Greenway and has one hill just before the finish. Both courses will have a single water station along the route. The Paw Pursuit 100 Meter Dash is the shortest race with a quick sprint where dogs run alongside their owners to demonstrate their speed and agility. Dogs will be divided into three weight classes: Lightweight, Middleweight, and Heavyweight. See Details

Sourwood Festival This annual summer celebration kicks off the sourwood honey-selling season, sourced from the native sourwood tree in the Southern Appalachian region. The festival offers a vibrant collection of bees and locally-produced sourwood honey, featuring over 150 vendors, festival delicacies, and live music. While the festival unfolds on side streets, Main Street remains open, inviting exploration of galleries, restaurants, and stores that contribute to the town's unique charm. See Details
Cause For Paws Cruise on in with Fido, the family, and your classic car to one of the 21 showrooms at this annual fundraising event! There will be coffee, pastries, and special awards given out for Best In Show. All makes and models are welcome with plenty of parking available. Proceeds benefit a local animal shelter and individual donations are encouraged. See Details
Pups & Pastries Fido is welcome to partake in the Doggie Dash 5K and Doggie Dash 6.5 Mile race in support of Second Chance Pet Adoptions. Pups & Pastries gives you an opportunity to partake in a fun-run with your canine companion to combat animal homelessness. The $10 fee for Fido goes to support Second Chance Pet Adoptions! All dogs must be registered in order to race alongside you. Kids 12 & Younger are not allowed in the Doggie Dash 5K or Doggie Dash 6.5 Mile races. See Details
Dog Day Afternoon (Fall) Enjoy a day of fun with your pup among the beautiful scenery of Lake Julian. There will be food from Woof Street Bistro and snow cones from Sweet Squeeze. You and your dog can also enjoy a variety of contests, local vendors, live entertainment, and maybe even find a sibling at one of the one-site shelters and rescues. Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5k at Oskar Blues Brewery The Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5k celebrates the season of hops and malts with a beautiful run. Festive costumes encouraged, but not required! Following the race, runners will toast to their achievement at the Hi-Wire Brewing Beer Garden. Strollers and dogs are allowed, but must start in the back of the group. See Details
Trick or Trail 5K & Spooky Sprint You can bring Fido along to watch this Halloween-themed race, which features participants wearing creative costumes for a 5K run or 1M walk. A bustling Fall Festival will follow, with food, drinks and vendors at the Farmers’ Market. Please be mindful that due to congestion and safety concerns, dogs cannot participate in the race itself.
