Fine for the price and location

I had booked another hotel south of the airport, and realized when I pulled up I didn't feel comfortable staying there. I called this La Quinta and was able to get a room here. The location was much better, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were fine. Definitely could use some updating, but all in all I felt comfortable, appreciated that the staff are pretty quick to respond to rooms where dogs are barking, and felt comfortable with the location. For Vegas, good hotel for the price.

        Great for dogs

I stayed for a weekend (8/5/18) with a dog that I was dog sitting and it was great. Supper accommodating for the dog, lots of grass areas that she could walk, super friendly customer service. When I checked out they even gave me a bag os dog treats for her on the road!

        Uhaul Trailer almost stolen

We stayed at this location for one night (7/9/18) The rooms for pets are in the back of the building. I had my uhaul trailer hitched to my truck. When I woke up in the morning the lock on the trailer was broken and jammed from someone trying to break it. They also attempted to take the trailer off the hitch (it was tethered) and when they realized it wouldn’t work they attempted to cut the tether. Nothing was stolen (thankfully) but when I informed the front desk all they offered was a complaint form for corporate and their maintenance guy to cut the lock off.

Save your money. Go somewhere safer.

        Excellent Stay

I stayed at this La Quinta for 2 nights recently. (June 2018) Excellent stay! Very pet friendly. Good location, not far from the strip. Both rooms I had were very clean and fully stocked. Great customer service from front desks as well. Would absolutely stay here again.

Horrible customer service, alarms going off during the night

We spent 3 nights here and it's easily the worst experience I've had at a hotel. The only thing I really wanted out of a hotel is a place to sleep and that's where the problem started. As we were walking down the hallway to our assigned room we heard this loud alarm going off, one that would definitely keep you from sleeping. I looked around and found it was an alarm on the fire suppression system by the ice maker. I figure hey that's annoying but a call to the front desk should get it fixed, so I called and they said they'd send maintenance to check it out. Some hours later they got it shut off and I could finally sleep-well after midnight by this point. To my horror I was woken up in the early am's to that same alarm again and it was making the dogs across the hall bark like crazy. Another call to the front desk and hours later it was shut off again. This repeated again and again for the next several days. I couldn't get a decent night's sleep in, not even close.
What really made me mad is there are multiple wings and floors of the hotel away from the malfunctioning alarm but they wouldn't change our room. Should of happened after the second time the alarm malfunctioned that's just the very least amount of customer service that should of been done and the problem would of been fixed and we could of gotten the sleep we paid for.
We had to call the front desk so much that eventually the phone in the room stopped working and we had to start using our cellphones till maintenance fixed the phone.
But again what really made this a one star hotel is that they could of easily fixed this problem but didn't and that made us pay for sleepless nights full of blaring alarms instead quiet sleep filled nights. And on check out I brought up these problems again and they just didn't seem to care, but I warned them not to stick anyone else there till they fix the alarm, only thing I could do.
Definitely wouldn't look forward to staying here again.

        Not safe, run down

This is an old property that is located in a very run down and out neighborhood. There is a banner in the lobby that speaks to the lack of safety both in the parking lot and in the hotel. The staff is pleasant enough, when they hand you a flyer with information about safety.

The halls had trash in them, and there was a large pile of dried dog feces at the side entrance, where we were to enter to find our room. The room was very old, but relatively clean. The office chair was all stained. The room smelled of disinfectant.

My big concern was that I didn't want to stay in this hotel, where my safety and security was at risk. Perhaps they should include this information on their website. When you walk into the lobby, it is a little too late. I asked if I could change to another La Quinta, and my request was denied.

As such, I ended up moving to the La Quinta at the other side of the airport, which was lovely, new and safe. But it was too late, and I had to pay for this dump as well.

I found out that this is a corporate property. As I understand it, La Quinta corporate properties tend to be older, and run down. The 3 other La Quinta franchises where we stayed during this trip were great properties in superb locations.

        Wonderful Stay

We came with our little dog on a mini-foodie vacation and stayed at this La Quinta - wonderful experience! The front desk staff were extremely friendly and courteous, and our room was clean and super comfortable. We will stay here again on our next trip to Vegas.

        Very accommodating

We came with our very large dog (English Mastiff) they gave us dog treats at check in. The first room was not cleaned, they immediately brought us keys to another room. Lots of grass for potty breaks and bags available for poop pickup.

Central, comfortable, inexpensive and a shuttle bus that will take dogs along the routes

Great stay, would come back, may have converted me to a long term La Quinta customer. I asked for a room away from the south and away from the entry doors, they gave me one poolside, worked out well. The staff were very good about accepting dogs as customers. I have to say, the staff here were very professional, I went to the front desk once and 3 different customers were having problems (not with the hotel, but with connections, missing luggage, like that) and I was really impressed with the calm way everything was handled.

Good stay, had some issues, BringFido took care of it

Nice room. We, my two yellow labs and I, checked in late at night. Once checked in, I noticed some issues with the bathroom. Not bad enough to switch rooms at that hour. The next morning the reception folks were real nice when I mentioned the issues. Later BringFido took care of it by issuing a fair discount, which made things right. Thank you. I would stay here again.

        Careful

We stayed here last fall. Ok place. Generally nice grounds. Sketchy area nearby. Take everything in with you. Our car was broken into and many things taken. It was the first night of a weeklong trip driving through the Rockies. We parked right by the backdoor under a bright light. 3-4 other cars were broken into also. Hotel staff were pretty unsympathetic. I think it happens pretty regularly. Beware.

Great for pets, really convenient for people!

We stayed in this hotel on Dec. The hotel is super pet friendly and really close to the strip. It was my dog's frist hotel experience and couldn't be better!

        Stay somewhere else

The first thing you notice on the way to your room is the dirty carpets. We had no choice but to stay cuz we were in town for a wedding. You can hear your neighbors talk and if they have dogs. Our room had 10 squares of toilet paper and no back up roll as well as the housekeeping cart parked in front of our room til 8pm. The trash piled up by the elevator. When you call the front desk they have attitude and don't want to help out. When we booked I knew the name La Quinta for being nice and clean but after our stay I will not be back.

        No sound insulation whatsoever!

We were given a room right next to the exit door. We can hear every slamming of the door and every conversation all night through the hall way. The pool music was on loud, so the slow and steady drum beat kept us up until wee hour of the night. Very frustrating. Though the room is roomy, it's old and tired. The toilet seat had water or pee stain all over, very gross!

        Super dog friendly!

This hotel was great-- not only was it dog friendly but also clean! The staff was very friendly. They don't charge you extra for your pet either, which is nice.
The room was large, beds comfy, breakfast was also nice.
Great deal for the price! I would definitely stay again.

        Very pleased

This is a nice dog friendly hotel, with clean rooms and a gated outside dog area within the complex (surrounding the pool area). The staff is friendly and helpful and the room prices are fair. Our room had a king bed, which was very comfortable with good pillows, a little fridge and microwave. It is close to the Strip and surrounded by a lot of good restaurants. I would recommend this hotel for anyone with a pet needing to find a good quality and clean hotel.

        Wonderful

Although the hotel is one of the oldest ones it was neat and clean. The king/suite was clean. I was able to walk my 2 yorkies outside. The continental breakfast provides was fantantic. Thanks again and my family and yorkes will be staying there for many years to come.

        Wonderful

We were given a large room w/king bed, fridge, microwave and jacuzzi tub. Room was very clean, no weird hotel odors. Great area to walk pets, nicely manicured grounds and great pool area. We highly recommend this hotel. Everything is within close proximity. Will definitly stay at this property again. More hotel/motels should follow the example that they set.

        LOVED it

My husband and I traveled to Vegas with our pooch. I loved the hotel it was clean. It is with in walking distance but i recomend the shuttle. It's really to hot to walk . This was the perfect hotel for us the price was right and it had everything we needed. Would saty here again and again. We also loved that Starbucks was right across the street. :)

      • More than one year ago.
        Very Nice & great service

The hotel was an older hotel clean however, I stayed in the main building in a suite. I found that most people with dogs stayed in the back portion of the hotel. The one bedroom suite was large had a microwave and was very reasonably priced. I have stayed at 2 other hotels in Las Vegas that allow dogs this was far superior and very comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone who travels responsibly with a dog. ( I brought a kennel and did not have to use it) The shuttle was wonderful and we had a great breakfast every morning. Thanks BringFido, they will get our return business..Nice places to walk the dogs and reasonable restaurants close by. And the non-smoking room was a plus. Staff was awesome as well.

      • More than one year ago.
        Satisfactory

The hotel is tired and in need of some updating. Room was small, bed was not particularly comfortable, but it was reasonably clean. The room had a fridge and a jacuzzi tub (not for me but somebody might like it). There are plenty of places to walk the dog on the hotel grounds, with poop bags provided. The hotel is not really within walking distance of the strip, but they do have a shuttle bus. Some good restaurants nearby and some "non-strip" casinos within walking distance. Not glamorous, but OK if you're traveling with a dog.
