    Decent Pet Friendly Hotel

Quiet location. Comfy bed. Terrible pillows (way too small!). Nowhere for cats to hide (bonus). Easy check in and check out.

Very pet friendly, not so much people

Being in an motor home for family vacation during a heat wave we needed to escape, and this hotel allowed our 2 dogs (large) and a kitten, and they are ok with leaving them in the room if they are behaved, We stayed 3 days in a suite, 2 adults and two teens. It was clean enough, and many pet areas with grass and shade. Cons: Some pet owners are not following leach rules which is a problem for us since our larger dogs feel threatened by of little dogs running around barking while ours have no defense... different rant... back now to hotel: cut off for checkout is enforced by deactivated room card, that is if you are outside loading and come back for last stuff (or pets) key stops working at 11:57am you will have to go to the front desk. Annoying since you may need to walk a half mile around the whole hotel to get in because key is access to all entry. Front desk staff do not care. Lastly, the smell of cigarette smoke, and other, is ALWAYS STRONG in the hallways.

    Hotel in very poor condition

Death trap elevator that was closed after we took it 3x to the third floor. Broken toilet seat, dog poop everywhere, bathe door didn’t close properly, weird smell in the hall. We will not use the hotel stay.

    Just Okay

Nothing really spectacular about our stay. Really disappointed that La Quinta doesn't allow their guests personal responsibility concerning COVID masking. Instead they dictate.

    Decent...Maybe.

You can't complain too much regarding how expensive some of these pet fees are at the surrounding casinos. Heck, most pet fees along the strip are even more than the actual human fees staying! La Quinta is decent. You can leave you pet unattended and they have a good walking area (grass) for them to sniff sniff. The first room I got was sort of damp & dingy, but the manager on staff quickly remedy'd that with a new room. Just be carful at night, sort of scary with strange people roaming the streets. Until they lower them fees at the casino hotels, this will do for now.

    Smokey

The location is nice and priced reasonably. When I walked in the room being a non smoker the room reeked of cigarette smoke. Would like an option of a pet friendly non smoker room.

    Service and personnel were amazing

La Quinta is my new favorite pet friendly place. The staff was absolutely fantastic, the rooms clean and spacious.

    Nope.

OK I will say the staff was friendly and check in easy however, this place was filthy. The halls and room smelled of urine and smoke (of all kinds). The bathroom floor was obviously not washed as there was hair all over and used dental floss laying around. There was stuff on the bathroom wall (maybe cat spray?) under the sink and make-up/dirty finger prints all over the walls in the room. The sheets had some red stains near the foot of bed. We have stayed in many La Quinta Inns and they have typically been very nice so this was a unpleasant surprise. Guess I should have read the other reviews before booking. Lesson learned.

Convenient and great price but eh..

Staff was super kind but the room we were checked into was FILTHY. It had been forgotten and rechecked in. I get it. It happens. We had opted to check on early, so we got a queen instead of the much looked forward to King with us and 2 big dogs. Again I understand things are subject to availability at the time of check in. We had just finished a 28 hour straight through road trip, in a blizzard with 2 60+lb dogs,, i wanted a shower.. we didn't have any towels and there were 6 bags of McDonald's trash in the cupboard by the mini fridge. My SO went to the front desk, i got in the shower with flip flops on. I was army, I've been in worse. They moved us across the hall into a clean room. There was ONE towel. Good thing I showered in the gross room!

The "clean" room was pretty gross still. The shower curtain was gross, the tub needed bleached and so did the toilet. The bed was so saggy in the center you could SEE it from the doorway.. another queen. We were only there for 3 nights passing though so it was what it was for the price. Convenient parking for trailers and keyed from the outside so no vagrants get in. They also have lots of light, cameras, and a security patrol. I'd go back for the price but they seriously need to upgrade and update their rooms.

You get what you pay for

The rate, location, and free parking were great perks. I also appreciate the hotel does not charge a dog fee for letting your furbaby stay there but for furparents, the rooms could be improved. We stayed in Room 153 and found the cleanliness substandard and amenities lacking. Would recommend the hotel for very short stays.

    Nope

Definitely wouldn’t stay again. Says they have a pet area and they don’t. You have yo walk thru the hallways to get out. Some doors let you out and not back in. No hot water, blow dryer didn’t work and a light was out. Parking is far. The only thing that is covinient is that you can leave you dog/ dogs unattended.

    Welcoming for dogs and people

Great experience. Clean and spacious room with amenities such as refrigerator and microwave. The fenced courtyard Surrounding the pool area is wonderful for walking your pet - the grounds are quite lovely. Close to the strip but none of the hassle that comes with it. Best pet stay experience in Vegas for me and my dog so far, hands down. Great hospitality too!

Good place to spend the night if you travel with dogs

I needed to find a place to spend the night somewhere in Las Vegas, since my plan to camp wasn't possible, because of the strong winds. I found La Quinta Inn and it allowed my two big dogs with no extra charges. We got a nice big room, a mini kitchen, a very comfortable bed, and the court yard was a good place to walk the dogs late at night. Some facilities are closed because of covid, but we were ok with that.

    Dog and cat friendly

A great and easy pet policy, they have a grassy courtyard area around the pool for dogs to use the bathroom and provide poop bags if you need! Only downside is there are wild cats that hangout out there and cat food left all around to feed them, making it an obstacle course with my dog to go potty while avoiding the cat food left around. Otherwise its a great doggy friendly place to stay, would stay again!

Great manager who is decicated to her job

We checked in and my wife, who once worked for a home cleaning service, knows dirt when she sees it. She cleaned some obvious spots on their washcloth, which I took to the manager about 30 minutes after check in. We've spent 40 years traveling with my job, so this has happened more than a few times through the years at other places. We know people make mistakes when they are either in a rush or careless. However, here, the manager would not tolerate a bad cleaning job and took immediate action to get it resolved. No argument. She offered another room. All is good.

    Convenient Location

We stayed for one night with our Dog. The room was nice and clean with strong cool A/C. Front desk was quick and efficient. Checked in and out with ease. Very good location, about two blocks down from The Strip. Only downside is they need more parking. I would definitely stay here again.

Dirty. Nice for dogs but gross for humans

I had stayed at this place before and had a great experience, however, in the year between stays it has lost its charm. I had to switch rooms because the one I was put it smelled of urine and there was dirt all over the bathroom floor. The second room didn’t smell, but there was pubic hair all over the shower floor... I was just passing through and I was so tired I didn’t want to switch rooms yet again, but if you have a choice don’t stay here. It is worth paying a pet fee to have somewhere clean.

The front desk man that helped was me rude and impatient when answered my questions. The assigned room was right next to the exit, so I can hear the door opened and closed every hour throughout the night. It was very distracting for my family to get good night sleep. The parking lot was congested due to more than 10 large trucks, 10-18 wheelers, parked in the lot. I will not book this hotel again.

    Comfortable stay

The La Quinta Inn Airport North in Las Vegas was a comfortable place to stay. The only issue we found was that the room was carpeted so you could smell dog urine from previous guests. They should follow what Motel 6 has done and add laminate "hardwood" floors to pet friendly rooms.

Great place with or without pets

We were greeted by Jeremy who was awesome with our check in. We had our 80 lb. Bully "Zeus ". Jeremy informed us of the pet relief areas with a map and told us about the free shuttle to the strip if we didn't want to walk and assured pets could ride the shuttle if they weren't aggressive. This hotel is a few blocks from the strip.

The room was cleaner then other hotels I've stayed in in Vegas that weren't pet friendly. It was clean and smelled fresh.

    Pets welcomed

It was great that you could bring pets and they had plenty of places for them to go to the bathroom. The only bad part about it was the toilet wasn't flushing in our room, which we got to know about in the morning and when we came back in the evening it still wasn't working. Apparently maintenance hadn't even been called. We were moved to another room, which was fine except for the smell. It wasn't animal smell for animal urine which is great in a pet friendly motel/hotel, it seems like it was more of a plumbing problem. I could really use a remodel. The beds are comfortable! I would give it more bones, but I really think there's a plumbing issue in that into the building that they need to address because of the odor, it was horrible!

The room was just ok. But the toilet didn't work. I asked for another room so I wouldn't have to wait (it was a loooong road trip). They said they were full but would have someone fix it. An hour later it was fixed... only to find out it was not fixed. Again, I asked for another room with a working toilet; they said they would send someone else up to fix it. A guy came up said it was now fixed, left toilet water all over the floor, and come to find out it was not fixed. They then magically found me another room (it was an upgrade but I could have cared less by that time.) Won't go back again.

We were Late, but I Called ahead

The drive from out home to Golden, Colorado was too long, so I called La Quinta @ Golden, CO and told them we were going to be coming in very late. They saved us a very nice room on the main floor where we could park the car right outside of our door. Wonderful first stop on the way to our destination.

On the return trip we ran into a complication for which neither BringFido nor La Quinta Inn, Golden, CO could control without further information from me which I had not provided. Under the circumstances, the attendant at the front desk did her very best to accommodate the situation for a handicapped individual.

The ground floor handicapped room had been modified to meet minimum requirements. Unfortunate the toilet missed the mark. It stood too high, nearly 24" off the ground. Do they make a wheelchair which seats 24" above the floor? Good thing I travel with a step-stool and my walker!

Not all people with handicapping conditions are wheelchair bound! Some of us are very short adults! Something to consider in case the traveler requires some specific accommodations. I learned something very important!

    Really bad hotel

Hotel was extremely dirty, vomit in the hallways. Beds are rock hard, tub with large stains, tvs didn't work, room smelt really bad (I had two rooms) both rooms were awful. Friend had a king bed rm and the tub was wobbling. She felt like she was going to fall through the floor. Nooooooo parking "everything wasn't full. " two of my kids left with bug bites on their legs from the room. We checked out and went to LA quinta tropicana...... Loved tropicana hotel... Stayed there before and it was WORTH the extra money to stay there intead. Airport North LA Quinta is the worst hotel I have ever been to. Would give it a zero if I could.

Fine for the price and location

I had booked another hotel south of the airport, and realized when I pulled up I didn't feel comfortable staying there. I called this La Quinta and was able to get a room here. The location was much better, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were fine. Definitely could use some updating, but all in all I felt comfortable, appreciated that the staff are pretty quick to respond to rooms where dogs are barking, and felt comfortable with the location. For Vegas, good hotel for the price.

    Uhaul Trailer almost stolen

We stayed at this location for one night (7/9/18) The rooms for pets are in the back of the building. I had my uhaul trailer hitched to my truck. When I woke up in the morning the lock on the trailer was broken and jammed from someone trying to break it. They also attempted to take the trailer off the hitch (it was tethered) and when they realized it wouldn’t work they attempted to cut the tether. Nothing was stolen (thankfully) but when I informed the front desk all they offered was a complaint form for corporate and their maintenance guy to cut the lock off.

Save your money. Go somewhere safer.

    Excellent Stay

I stayed at this La Quinta for 2 nights recently. (June 2018) Excellent stay! Very pet friendly. Good location, not far from the strip. Both rooms I had were very clean and fully stocked. Great customer service from front desks as well. Would absolutely stay here again.

Horrible customer service, alarms going off during the night

We spent 3 nights here and it's easily the worst experience I've had at a hotel. The only thing I really wanted out of a hotel is a place to sleep and that's where the problem started. As we were walking down the hallway to our assigned room we heard this loud alarm going off, one that would definitely keep you from sleeping. I looked around and found it was an alarm on the fire suppression system by the ice maker. I figure hey that's annoying but a call to the front desk should get it fixed, so I called and they said they'd send maintenance to check it out. Some hours later they got it shut off and I could finally sleep-well after midnight by this point. To my horror I was woken up in the early am's to that same alarm again and it was making the dogs across the hall bark like crazy. Another call to the front desk and hours later it was shut off again. This repeated again and again for the next several days. I couldn't get a decent night's sleep in, not even close.

What really made me mad is there are multiple wings and floors of the hotel away from the malfunctioning alarm but they wouldn't change our room. Should of happened after the second time the alarm malfunctioned that's just the very least amount of customer service that should of been done and the problem would of been fixed and we could of gotten the sleep we paid for.

We had to call the front desk so much that eventually the phone in the room stopped working and we had to start using our cellphones till maintenance fixed the phone.

But again what really made this a one star hotel is that they could of easily fixed this problem but didn't and that made us pay for sleepless nights full of blaring alarms instead quiet sleep filled nights. And on check out I brought up these problems again and they just didn't seem to care, but I warned them not to stick anyone else there till they fix the alarm, only thing I could do.

Definitely wouldn't look forward to staying here again.

    Not safe, run down

This is an old property that is located in a very run down and out neighborhood. There is a banner in the lobby that speaks to the lack of safety both in the parking lot and in the hotel. The staff is pleasant enough, when they hand you a flyer with information about safety.

The halls had trash in them, and there was a large pile of dried dog feces at the side entrance, where we were to enter to find our room. The room was very old, but relatively clean. The office chair was all stained. The room smelled of disinfectant.

My big concern was that I didn't want to stay in this hotel, where my safety and security was at risk. Perhaps they should include this information on their website. When you walk into the lobby, it is a little too late. I asked if I could change to another La Quinta, and my request was denied.

As such, I ended up moving to the La Quinta at the other side of the airport, which was lovely, new and safe. But it was too late, and I had to pay for this dump as well.

I found out that this is a corporate property. As I understand it, La Quinta corporate properties tend to be older, and run down. The 3 other La Quinta franchises where we stayed during this trip were great properties in superb locations.

Central, comfortable, inexpensive and a shuttle bus that will take dogs along the routes

Great stay, would come back, may have converted me to a long term La Quinta customer. I asked for a room away from the south and away from the entry doors, they gave me one poolside, worked out well. The staff were very good about accepting dogs as customers. I have to say, the staff here were very professional, I went to the front desk once and 3 different customers were having problems (not with the hotel, but with connections, missing luggage, like that) and I was really impressed with the calm way everything was handled.

Nice room. We, my two yellow labs and I, checked in late at night. Once checked in, I noticed some issues with the bathroom. Not bad enough to switch rooms at that hour. The next morning the reception folks were real nice when I mentioned the issues. Thank you. I would stay here again.
