    Fairfield?

We stayed there last night. As we checked in a girl complained her door had no latch to block the door. Another complaint overheard as we left. Our 1st floor window was not lockable. Toilet ran constantly, so I lifted the lid, and clearly the stopper had not been changed in at least a few years. I closed the lid and shut the door so we could sleep. Hotel is aged, needs updating. Staff and clientele were not what I'm used to when staying at Fairfield. We felt uncomfortable leaving our car parked there. Many lights burned out in parking lot. It was just clear that it has not been maintained in a long time. A lot of people running and talking loudly late and early. We paid a lot to stay there, honestly not worth the cost and overvalued. I chose the hotel thinking the chain reputation and price would cut out nonsense but it dud not. It was too late to change, we were exhausted from traveling. Sorry, just an honest review, we were disappointed. I'll not use Fairfield again anytime soon. I typically do not leave reviews but felt this needs fixing.

    Fairfield Inn Chester VA

We as paying customers were neglected. No cleaning service for 3 days. We were told at checkout we had to request it. In-room coffee had only 1 coffee serving the entire 3 days. We had to fetch our towels at the front desk. The dog was never an issue. Think the hotel will be our first and last visit.

    Nice roomy hotel, good location

This is the second time staying at this hotel, but the first stay with our pug. Check-in was easy and the pet fee was $75 as stated on their website. They try to keep the pet visitors on the first floor. We saw many other dogs over the week, but we didn't hear a peep/bark from our room. It was very quiet.
Besides the doggie checklist, it is a nice clean hotel with spacious rooms. The tv has a modern interface that makes it incredibly easy to watch your Netflix or plug in a laptop with an HDMI. Breakfast was the basics every day-> eggs, sausage, bagels, oatmeal, and the breakfast area was always stocked and tidy.

The gym is also nice with updated equipment and filtered water dispenser. Just a note, there is no pool. The google listing and website still say that it has a pool and hot tub, but these were recently converted to a larger dining area. The only drawback was that there wasn't a designated doggie area. There is a stretch of grass on the back side of the hotel that got pretty muddy during our stay. It was fine for our small dog, but we played with a golden retriever that was up to his knees in mud! We were at this hotel for a full week and it was easy to call it home during the stay.
